Symptoms resulting from aerophagia include bloating, belching, decreased appetite, diarrhea, flatulence, and stomach noise.

My husband developed diarrhea within 4 days of starting CPAP. It has been going for about a month now. Seems to have a lot of air. His sleep doctor says he has never heard of this in 20 years of practice. Suggests another kind of doctor.

Without knowing anything else at all about your husband, precise symptoms, diet, his equipment, pressure settings, wt. gain or loss, etc we can't speculate (and we're not doctors). If you want to provide more info. it could help us to help though.
