You can also wear you glasses. (Maybe not comfortably, but better nothing.)

I only knew the mask by the name "Drive" before seeing it on here by the Zzz name. I've only seen it by those names and it was the very last mask that they had me try on seeming reluctant to do so.. So they may or may not have one on hand to try. Good luck on it. Hopefully they'll have one.

As far as using moleskin, I was told to use the type of pads that you remove makeup with. They're the round ones, no adhesive, and cut them in half.

The nose pressure ulcer thing with a CPAP FFM is shocking and PAINFULL!.., I have had this ulcer on the right upper side bridge of my nose that has been going on for over 6 months, I am a relatively new CPAP user having started CPAP in December 2015. I bought a Respironics Comfort Gel FFM online from cpap supplies in the States as my local cpap shop in Australia wanted $270 AUD for a FFM when I could buy the same mask shipped to me from the States for $129 AUD. The prices on CPAP equipment in Australia are just plain ridiculous and a rip off. Well anyway to cut a long story short when I bought the Respironics Comfort Gel FFM, I did not know that it had a reputation for causing pressure sores on the nasal bridge because it is just a sh*t designed mask, how Phillips could market it and say it is good for you is beyond me, it should be called "destructive gel" because the damn thing destroys your nose in a painful process.
I took a bit of research online to find out the cause, even my own Doctor did not understand the cause of the my nasal wound and wanted to send to be an expensive Dermatologist to determine the cause and I did not go because the fees would have cost me to too much out of pocket.
Well I have been using Band Aids to protect the bridge of my nose cutting them to shape and just changed the mask to a Devilbiss FFM, it is a strange set of affairs with FFMs in regard to sizing, on just a plain Nasal Mask I am a small size but on a FFM I am a medium size, trying to buy and get the right fit for a cpap mask is like trying to buy clothes, not all clothing is the same size or cut but with clothes if it don't fit you can take it back to the shop for a refund, with a Cpap MASK, NO, once its opened and put on your face to try out even for 1 night, it becomes "used" and is not refundable for obvious health reasons.
In a space of 10 months, I have bought 4 masks, 2 nasals, 1 ffm and now the Devilbiss FFM to try, this is really becoming a "gravy train" as far as expense goes and is starting to really piss me off.
I am still fuddling around with the Devilbiss last 2 nights trying to get the nose adjustment right and strap tensions right, it leaks like a sieve, annoys me at night with its leaks and noise, I hope I get it right, I fear I have bought yet another "piece of crap", I am really getting over CPAP, but must use it as without my AHI was 43..severe in my sleep study and even though I have never fallen asleep a the wheel or had any problems driving a car, my Doctor was compelled by law to report it to the State Roads and Drivers Licencing Authority and now I am required to use CPAP and see a sleep specialist every year now and prove my compliance in order to keep my drivers licence that I have had for over 30 years with no problems.
I am frustrated with CPAP and sometimes think the cure is worse than the illness and that in my opinion I don't need it but under new stricter Drivers Licencing Standard regulations in Australia adopted by all the Australian States, I must use CPAP if diagnosed with sleep apnea or if I don't, I can say goodbye to my drivers licence and my freedom for that matter..taking away my drivers licence is like taking away my freedom

I suggest using a nasal mask, at least until the sores heal. Although you said that you're a mouth-breather, you must be breathing through your nose or you would have no success with the nasal pillows! However, if I'm wrong, you can use a nose/mouth mask (which is generally referred to as a full face mask).

Note also that I soak the face piece in 50% vinegar solution for at least two hours before the first use. This seems to cut down on the allergic properties of the face piece.

BTW, I had an Everest CPAP too. The power cord burned out earlier this year and I now have a DreamStation. That was a great machine, but it did not have any compliance data (except an "odometer"), and was not available as an automatic. The company went out of business in 2009 after a fire in its factory in China.

When I first started treatment, I also developed a large open sore on my nose. I used a band aid on it at night until it healed. Once healed, I started using a piece of moleskin on my nose at night. It can be purchased at drug stores in small sheets. It is found in the foot care area, and is designed to cover or prevent blisters. It can also be purchased on line in long rolls. After switching to the Amara View mask, I no longer have that problem as the mask fits under the nose.

I used the Comfortgel for several months.
Every time I swapped to a new cushion, it would make my nose sore for a couple nights, trying to make a blister.
I found that putting a small Band-aid on my nose for the first few nights prevented the damage.
An easy solution, which got a chuckle from my co-workers when I forgot to pull it off.

When you change your cushion, try what I do. That is, soak it in 50% vinegar solution for about two hours. If you object to the vinegar smell, just wash it thoroughly afterwards. I had exactly the same problem with the same mask and this worked for me!

The Band-aid was effective, and easier, but thanks.

I kind of agree with this bandaid idea, however I just used the plastic securing part, not the padding part. Once things are on the mend, I would stick a piece of the plastic adhesive part on my sore spot with a small dab of neosporin right over the sore area. Now that I use Padacheek I haven't had much problem in that area.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Speaking of bandaids, these things are amazing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JXV5G6/ I found out about them at the doctor's office and they stick like nothing else and they are even cheap! Highly recommended.
