You should not download software such as Encore 2 from a torrent. It's a great way to infect your computer beyond the chance of repair. An audio or video file can be bad enough, but they tend to be cleaner (unless in a self extracting format). But a program is almost certain to be infected.

L1066548b00.pdf = User Guide
Readme.txt
WindowsInstaller 4.5.exe

Start with windows installer, then the EP2Setup. You may not need the smartcard setup if you have a working card reader.

So far, I don't see any compelling reason to upgrade from 1.8 to 2.2 unless you are using the newest Respironics PR machines that require this version.

The manual talks about mapping ver 1.8 data to 2.2, but I haven't figured it out yet. The existing data on version 1.8 is saved in a MDB or XML database file, and I'm not aware of any way to export that to the EXP file format that version 2.2 uses to import patient data. So unless someone has a work-around, You may be starting your database from scratch.
If you saved a .bin file using the MyCPAP.com Card Utility every time you downloaded your data to EP1.8, you could restore your .bin backups manually - again using the Card Utility 1.06 - one at a time to the card and recapture the data manually. It would be a tedious job, but if you wanted to restore all your data, it could be done a few at a time over the course of any number of days. Then when you're done, just restore the most current .bin file. The manual probably has a better way...

You know this because you never visit torrent sites?
Usenet and Torrent are not synonyms. They are very different. The files do not reside on any "site", but are mostly served by a number of individuals in the swarm (currently 10 seeds). At this point, the torrent in question appears is clean, and I'd venture a guess that all members of the swarm are reading this. There is only one version unless you follow the bait to Usenet.

FYI: Thanks for the heads up on EP2. Just upped the seeds to 12 now! Got it, seeding and returning the favor for others. All files are free from virus or other malware per ESET Smart Security V4, one of the best in the business. (http://www.eset.com/smartsecurity)

Hey guys,

I'm using windows 7 and I cant't install encorepro 2.2. So I had to install a virtual machine with windows xp. But i'm still unable to read the data. Because i'm not using any kind of usb reader, I just copied the folder from the SD card from another computer. How are you reading the data ?

Did you install the card-reader software?

Try to IMPORT your data:
  • Click on the Utilities down arrow (located upper right section of the program)
  • Select Import Patient from the pull down menu.
  • Click on the Browse button and locate your data file
  • Select OPEN to import the data.
Let us know if this works.

Does anybody know where I can get this software that is compatible with Mac Snow Leopard (preferably) or with Windows 7?

I have a REMstar Auto A-Flex System One.

FALSE, when downloading TORRENTs, it's who put the orgional file up that counts. That and BASIC computer skills and protection, keeps my computers safe, When posiable know the REP of the person or group uploading the torrent. Scan the programs with a good software, I use AVAST Free.

If torrents are so bad I wouldn't be on my computer, I download them 24/7 about 2 to 3 GB a day, in 3,000 hours of video, never had a infected file from video. (NOT PORN). Where you play effects what you get.....

Using P2P, can get you into even more trouble than Torrents, but again it's the quality of the people you deal with, not the files that get you in trouble. Jim

As I understand it the problem with new computer systems is not Windows 7 per se, but that the Encore software doesn't work on 64-bit machines, which the new ones are, and which Windows 7 is compatible with. They'll have to upgrade the software sometime soon or even the clinicians won't be able to use it on their new computers.
