Ignore it. (If it's not keeping you awake.)

Is it actually "snoring"? Or could it be sounds from nasal congestion. (the machines can't always tell the difference)
Nasal rinses/cleansing before bedtime if it's from congestion.

Hi DoriC

I was thinking the same as Den before I scrolled down to his entry.

There has to be a time (hopefull) when you can relax a little. You and your husband are doing great, and if he is feeling a lot better, then you probably need not be so vigilant, which I know you only do through love.

But it never hurts to check.

cheers

DoriC,

You are so sweet to take such excellent care of your husband!!!
I wouldn't be concerned in the slightest about the snoring unless it keeps you awake, the snoring in the teens is great, I average about 80 snores a night and have gone as high as 650 snores in 1 night so your husband is really doing quite well, consider him lucky to have such a low snore index.

I've noticed with me, the more tired I am, the more snores and apneas I have, i've also noticed, if I have a high leak rate, that also increases my snores, apneas, & hypopneas, so like stated above, just relax & get some much needed R&R DoriC, you sincerely deserve it!

Hope this helped a little..
Nite & take care

SNM

Thanks to all for the reassurance. I hope none of you remembers that I've asked this question several times before and always get the same answer! I guess I'll have to just give up the fight and relax my vigilance but no promises!).

I tried the "Breathe Right" nasal strips last night to try reduce nasal congestion.

Also recommended for snoring.

The strip will hold the lower part of the nasal passages open while you sleep...

I'm glad you asked the question, Dori, because I had the same question. My VS is often in the teens and even as high as 25, but my AHI is excellent. So, thanks for asking!

Hi Sleepy, so nice to see you back! The above post is to remind you of your kindness to me! I'm sure there are others but this is the first one I spotted! Hope to see you often.

Yeah, I've heard they're buzzing around lately! I think I reposted it correctly now. BTW, all is not lost, this old thread may be worth rereading with all the experts coming out to educate on the subject of snoring!

I've been catching myself snoring softly more than usual lately, although my VS and AHI's don't really show it. I can feel the snore in the far back part of my nose, above my palate, not in my throat. So I'm assuming this is more of a sinus issue than an OA issue.

Although I'm mostly recovered, I have a feeling it's the last vestiges of my bouts with respiratory illnesses this winter. I'm a little more congested than usual ( at least than since starting CPAP) and I'm still running the humidifier a little higher because it seems to help my asthma. I guess it's time to turn it down one more notch.
