So what is your AHI at home? Is it worse than the study?

My AHI was over 77; my pressure set at 17; doc said that is what it would take just to put me under 5. I'm averaging 1.3 to 2.5/night. I doubt I'll ever see anything lower. However, I can certainly tell a difference. I am not sleepy, not falling asleep like I was. I'm handling stress a whole lot better and my patience level has increased, along with my short term memory and comprehension skills!

AHI: 103.8
Total Sleep Time: 364 minutes
Avg SpO2%: 89%
Min SpO2%: 61%
Never reached Stage 3 sleep

Now my AHI averages about 7.2 (still in my 1st month of treatment, I see the nurse practicioner again in a week)

I feel much better and am looking forward to getting my AHI below 5 and getting even better sleep!

Edit: Remember, just as Georgio points out later in this thread, that AHI is the number of events per hour, not the total number of events for the night.
I was diagnosed with an AHI of 116. Been on apap now for 3 months, cruising along. I am now at an average of 1 Apnea event per hour. Won't be without my hose from now on.

Been on the machine for about a month now. I love the way I feel in the mornings now.

My AHI was 102 per hour, RDI was 119 per hour during the sleep study. My lowest oxygen was 62%

Dr prescribed 12cm, the Respironics software keeps me between 10 and 11. AHI now averages 1.1.

AHI was 76.3. Pressure range on APAP is 6-15 now and AHI is under 2.0 consistently.

My original post was on page 5; AHI only 13, but they must have been looooong ones.
I felt like dog dookey. Now, 0-1+; new lease on life.

My titration done on 6/6/16 showed AHI as follows:

CPAP 7 11.5
Bi-Level 8/4 13.2
Bi-Level 10/4 13.9
Bi-Level 12/6 79.3
Bi-Level 12/4 91.0
The analysis note says the optimal pressure was BiPap 10.0/4.0 cm H2O. I was having shortness of breath for 3 months by the time I had the titration done which I believe was caused by diabetes medicine Invokana. I discontinued it on 3/1 and was started on Metformin shortly after.

The doctor said I failed both CPap and BiPap so she ordered an APAP on 6/17/16 to be set at 8 - 20. Since then I've tweaked it to 8.5 - 11.

- Around 50 AHI pre CPAP, 0.5 AHI after CPAP
- 6 cm at titration, now living on 8 or 10 cm
- Feel better, but tiredness is still 60-70% of pre-CPAP

Yes, I do agree that AHI should be replaced by something like: total amount of minutes (not times) not breathing per hour.

I've met one patient having 100 AHI, did not feel tiredness at all (age 63).

how about "time in apnea in minutes" / "total hr sleep time with CPAP"
