Does anyone know how ResMed actually stores the data? I realize its flat, but is it any sort of standard file format or is it something custom (based on looking at it, I'm thinking custom).

As far as I can tell, the ResScan 3.x application stores summary and detail data separately on a PC.
  • The summary data accumulates in a single file.

The detailed data is stored in a separate file for each "day".
These are a reflection of the data stored after the information from the flow generator has been processed, so it is not any indication at all of what is on the ResScan card or within the flow generator.

Cheers,

Bill

All right folks I crossed my threshold about 2 minutes ago. From my perspective it is ...\*definitely*/... time to take this off these forums.

I took the liberty of setting up a Yahoo Group Wide Awake Programmers.

As an old 1960s engineering type when software usually referred to toilet tissue I am thankful that you folks are capable enough to take this project on for the rest of us. Thanks.

I don't understand why Resmed doesn't just release the software so I don't have to make appointments and take the SD card to my therapist to see the data every two weeks.

A good number of CPAP users are computer literate and this is just very poor client service on the part of ResMed and insult to our intelligence.

What's wrong of allowing me to see the data at home? They are not going to lose any business?

Just short-sighted and jpig-headed, after taking my thousands of dollars!

The first CPAP machine that allows me to download at home get my next CPAP purchase.
