Quattro Size question

Post by zorrro13 » Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:50 pm

I need a new mask and have to buy via mail order. In oz you don't get a refund if size is wrong . My Ultra Mirage is large and fits perfect but damaged so I was wandering if I were to order the Quattro would it be a similar fit in the large size?

There's a fitting template for the quattro here: http://www.directhomemedical.com/pdf/mi ... -gauge.pdf

And an online sizing tool here: https://www.cpap.com/cpap-mask-sizing.php?PNum=2511

Hope this helps!

If your current Ultra Mirage is a large, you need to order a medium in a Quattro.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you to confirm that answer. I have a Quattro in M and a pretty good fit. While I have NOT had a Mirage FF, I have a Mirage nasal and am a shallow in it. I got the 3-d cups for the mirage FFM and it says I'm a shallow in the FF as well (medium). Having had a Respironics Comfortfull 2 FFM in large, that thing swallows my head. With Resmed's nasal masks, a large goes way up my forehead. So, while I haven't compared these two masks side-by-side, I just wanted to make sure that you meant to say that a large in UM is a medium in Quattro as it just doesn't "sound" right (but I don't question my ability to be wrong), just asking for confirmation that something wasn't typed incorrectly.

I have a medium, small, and extra small, Quattro. My RT said I was definitely a medium. That stupid measuring guide that you have so much faith in said I was definitely a medium. The medium is the only mask I do not use since (thank god) I can use both the small and the extra small much more effectively. The other guy who responded to you uses a medium. If your face is the size of the front end of a Mack truck, the large should fit you just fine. Otherwise, get the medium. It's your life, it's your face, and it's your money.

Good luck,
