Depends on how long you sleep, how many events you have during that time and how long they last.Madbadvoodoo wrote:My Average Time in Apnea Per Day is 57 Secs… Can someone please tell me if that is a good number? My Time in Apnea per day was 1.3 just a few months ago…

If your average apnea is about 10 - 12 seconds in duration, you would be having about 5 - 6 per night.
My average is about 3.5 seconds per day.

Re: Average Time in Apnea Per Day??????????
let us know how that goes Madbadvoodoo. raising min. to 11 seemed to have the opposite effect on ahi for eight hours, it went into the 3 range w/ more apneas. haven't had an ahi that high in a while. adjusted min. back to where it was and increased max to 17. i'm glad i get to see my primary the end of this month so i can request a new cpap location...one that will actually return phone calls .....still wondering if a bipap wouldn't improve things because of my c.o.p.d.. a dear friend lent me one awhile back and i used for only four nights, should have given it more of a chance

Re: Average Time in Apnea Per Day??????????
Over the last 4 months, my average time in apnea is 3.2 minutes a day. Average AHI is 2.4 and average sleep time is 8 hrs 59 minutes. With an M Series Auto, is there a way to find out how long your apneas are?

Bev , the only way i have been able to find length of apneas besides other useful info is with James's encore pro analyzer. it compliments the encore pro software. do you have the pro version ?

Yes, I do have the pro version. I tried to download tried to download Analyzer when I first started a year ago and could not get it to download. Now I have Encore Pro on my laptop with Vista. Do you think it will work with Vista?

Uh oh. Oct. 3, I had 10 apneas averaging 36.6 seconds each. That's not good, is it?

Re: Average Time in Apnea Per Day??????????
only a guess, but that length would indicate pressure is not doing the job to head off events. is your leak data in line with your mask. leaks can skew #'s Bev . http://www.internetage.com/cpapinfo/leak-rates-1.html
