Comfort Lite 2 spare parts

Post by PauloBrazil » Mon Jun 02, 2008 2:04 pm

Dear friends,

I am now using the Comfort Lite 2 mask for 40 days (more or less).

Could you users of this mask for longer time than me to advice witch parts should I buy to avoid any problems in case of failure/wearing out, etc...?

Please refer to the official mask data at Respironics to specify the parts:

Many thanks for your help and attention.

The only part I have had to replace was the "elbow" that attaches to the simple cushion. Part # 1014206. It broke.

You will eventually need to replace just about everything. Most insurance will pay for a new complete new mask every 6 months. And I would recommend that you at least get new head straps that often. I use the simple cushion and have also had the elbow break several times. I think I've finally learned how to twist that thing on without breaking the tab!!! Also, the cushions (or pillows) should be replaced at least every month. Most insurance companies will cover two cushions per month. The blue 'thing' that fits against your forehead along with the attached hose assembly should last for a long time with proper care.

I would suggest, if you are happy with the mask, that you buy another complete set. Then you have a complete set of replacement parts and once you start breaking parts, you can order individual pieces.

There is a sale on CL2 for another couple days.

Dear friends,

First of all many thanks for your quick responses.

One thing: here in Brazil the health insurance do not pay for any device like these things (CPAP or mask or whatever). I have to pay. And due to the importation duties I can ensure to you the price is very high.

From your replies I think I will go for a complete new mask.

Thanks

It's on sale!! Hooray! I'm buying one! It was $129.99 a few weeks back. My question is: direct seal or nasal pillows? If you choose one over the other, why? I'm undecided on which to get.
