.....till you'll be able to buy your CPAPs and supplies at Wally World.

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/In ... inics.aspx

From what I've read on the forum, Walgreen is already doing that. (they're also mentioned in the article)

So, if ResMed and Respironics (ane whoever else) keep strong-arming their own distribution networks, there's another corporate entity that'll make them wish they hadn't. Stupid is as Stupid does.

They could hook you up and do the study while you're waiting in line for the cashier!
CPAP therapy is so easy you can do it in your sleep!

No thanks, I prefer the self-serve at home with my APAP.

LOL,

Walmart's $4 prescriptions are definitely a deal.

Well, let's see here.......Hillary is/was on the board of directors of WalMart.....so, if she get's elected and gets her health care package through...... Hmmmmm......

I was thinking that WalMart could do something similar to what Kaiser is doing......if you think you've got sleep apnea, they give you an overnight device to check oxygen levels and then if that checks out, then they give you an Auto CPAP for a week and then check the data. Then, when they determine your pressure from an Auto set at 4 - 20 cm, then they give you a $50 no frills made-in-China CPAP and mask of their choice......

Yep, that should work.

The previous remarks have been a tongue-in-cheek JOKE.

The afore-mentioned candidate did NOT approve that message.

It's gonna be another one of those election years......"none of the above" would win, hands down.

You would have time to get the sleep study, while you were waiting for them to open a third register so you can check out. 18 of 20 registers, not open, the only two that are, are in the middle of the store, the farthest away from the doors. (That's so you have to go through more of the store, in hopes they can snag another purchase from you.) Jim

I thought maybe that situation was just in our area. It's pitiful.....trying to get checked out in the one store they have in this area. There are so many job openings around here.......in almost ALL vocations.

In our area K-Mart, is much worse than Wal-Mart at the check out blocking, every thing comes down to milking the last dollar out of you. Jim

While I myself enjoy the savings from Wally World's $4 prescriptions, it is hard to ignore the fact that they have the worst Customer Service satisfaction survey record in the retail industry only made worse by "self-checkout".

You would think that when they pay their cashiers Minimum wage they could splurge and add 1 or 2 more cashiers when the self-checkout line reaches 50 in line. Don't know how many times I've left a full basket of goods near the checkout area because of the ridiculous line, 17 or 18 registers sitting "unmanned" with 2 self checkouts with at least 25 in each line, that is outright stupid. During those times I don't mind paying $20 for my needed scripts as the savings isn't worth it. Getting a CPAP or a study done? forget it, ain't gonna happen.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

I guess we're just lucky here. Our store seems to have a really good manager. He's very attentive to customers, etc.
It's not unusual for our store to have 12 to 18 registers plus 8 self checkouts open at any time of the day.
Haven't tried the pharmacy there, though. Might have to check it out.

Don't know if Target is in as many locations as Wal-Mart, but they have the $4 prescriptions, too, and at least in my neck of the woods, they are a much cleaner store with better customer service. I will never go in any of the Wal-Marts in my area on a weekend, as I'd probably still be waiting in line on Monday!

I try real hard not to give my money to wally world ... I have only bought one item there in the last 8 years and that was because I had little choice in the matter.
