I wouldn't go so far as to say it's "crap". I've been using it succesfully for about 3-4 months.

It is not memory foam (hate those pillows!)

You're right. Different things work for different people.

may be wrong... but I think it was just "regular" foam... not memory foam.
It doesn't say it is memory foam, so I don't think it is. If it were memory foam, that would be a selling point and mentioned boldly in the ad.

For the do-it-yourselfers out there.....

Go buy a cheap "tempurpedic" style pillow from Target or your favorite retailer. Find one you like the height of, and the squishiness or lack thereof.

Using a picture of one of the "pap" pillows, cut out divets on the side.

Use an electric meat carving knife to cut the foam. I found one at a garage sale for $2. You can also use your husband/father's favorite electric knife/saw in his garage.

Trying to saw this with a non-electric blade will drive you crazy. Trust me. Use some sort of electric blade. You probably will end up with rough jagged cuts, but that won't affect the function of the pillow, and you can cover it with a pillow case.

Now, to create a pillow case. ICKY! Suffice it to say, you'll need to come up with a template of that shape, and add side-walls to the pillow case to accommodate the divet.

Or just sleep on the edge of your favorite pillow and dangle your face and mask and hoses off the side.

LOL,
Babs

Why not buy the pillow case for the papillow?

Buy the pillow case and fill it with feathers.

We don't have a Target and the closest one is around 70 miles so I don't go there often (maybe once every couple of years). I went today and found their shapeable pillow in king size!!

I purchased one and it was a steal at only $15.00!!!
