Swift to Swift II conversion kit: That was fast!

Post by RosemaryB » Fri May 04, 2007 3:26 pm

Wow, I called my DME on Monday about getting me the upgrade for the Swift to Swift II (conversion kit). It arrived today. I figured it would take weeks. If anyone has a Swift, you may want to contact your DME to arrange for this. I wasn't charged for it, though since my mask is only a week old, I wouldn't expect to be.

I'm looking forward to not waking up due to the noisy mask tonight, since I read on here that it is much quieter.

Rose

I got mine a couple of nights ago and LOVE IT!!!! It is soooo quiet. For anyone who likes their Swift, I guarantee you will love the improved Swift II.

I cannot find anybody who sell just the Conversion Kit.

CPAP.com. Talkaboutsleep.com, cpap-supply.com all do not carry the kit.

I called Resmed when I heard about the conversion kit. But they said they were not selling it directly, your mask supplier had to order it for you, since they don't deal with the enduser. When I called them, they gave me a part number after asking which size my nose pillows were. When I called my DME they insisted on calling ResMed themselves and didn't want my part number. ResMed then shipped it to me directly. I told them both my mask was less than a week old, so I wanted the upgrade. I'm not sure if this figures in or not, but it doesn't hurt to try. So, I'd think that whoever sold you the mask would have to call ResMed.

For anyone thinking about getting a new Swift, make sure you ask your DME to order the Swift II. The "conversion kit" was just the pillow with the new "holier" exhaust port which I think is the reason it is so much more quieter. No headgear or hoses were included.

Rosemary, you didn't say how you liked the Swift II.

Swift II parts

Post by cabhoney » Sun May 06, 2007 6:32 pm

I wonder why Cpap.com hasn't started carrying the conversion? They told me that parts wouldn't be available for about 6 months.

I had to tell my DME about the convertion kit.
It's been over 3 weeks since I put my order in after my new swift arrived.
I wish I would of ask for the swift II in the first place.
I still had to tell them what the swift II was like, as I had to do for the hybrid.
They never heard of both.
DME need to get with the program.
I think it's time to contact Resmed about this issue.

Thanks for listening to my rant...................

ordered upgrade from Positive Air in Texas last Thursday night-
they shipped Friday and I used it Tues and Weds night-
it was 40 bucks

big improvement over swift 1

I still like twilight better but swift is good also

still using heated hose every night- that is a big !!! help - I seem to do better with higher humidity and need heated hose

also- the aflex really is better- if you can get aflex go for it in my opinion- at least for me it makes the whole deal a lot easier Packer

CPAP.com does carry a conversion kit
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Mirage ... e-Kit.html
But it's $90.00

CPAPPlus.com also carries it for only $25.00
http://www.cpapplus.com/CPAP_Mask_Parts ... pgrade.htm

For those Swift II users who are thinking about purchasing an additional pillow, it's less expensive to buy a $25 upgrade kit.

Regarding the CPAP.com vs CPAPPlus.com Upgrade Kits

Post by johnnygoodman » Fri Jul 13, 2007 2:21 pm

Howdy,

For all concerned, here is a break down of what CPAP.com offers and what others offer in the way of Swift Conversion Kits:

CPAP.com sells the cap, clip, frame and pillow sleeve for $89:

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Mirage ... e-Kit.html

Others sell the cap, clip and pillow sleeve for $25. The trouble is that some of these kits contain no exhalation vent. This is a necessary component for a safe and proper upgrade. Our kit makes a Swift into a Swift II. The $25 swift kit does not.

Johnny
