Trouble Burping

Post by VVV » Mon Jan 22, 2024 2:21 pm

About six months back, I noticed something that continues. When I start a brisk walk, my chest feels tight. After I walk for about 10 minutes, I have a small burp. Within a few more minutes, I have a moderate burp. It feels like there is more air in my chest. It feels like I need a couple of deep burps, but I can never get them. This happens whether I exercise in the early morning or late afternoon.

Any ideas?

It's a common symptom. Although it may be nothing, it could be something, such as gallbladder, so it may be worth mentioning to your doc:
"Diagnosing gas pain in the chest is necessary to avoid serious complications." --https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320995
My gallbladder went septic and gangrenous a few years ago with my having very few symptoms at all. No fever. No obvious gallbladder-exclusive symptoms. No Murphy's sign. A particularly cautious doc substituting for my usual doc decided to give me an ambulance ride to the emergency room anyway. Getting it out the next day may well have saved my life, or at least prevented some serious lasting complications. The time on broad-spectrum antibiotics following that surgery was no fun at all.

Hopefully you don't have anything like that. But sometimes it helps to know.
The people who confuse "entomology" and "etymology" really bug me beyond words.
