Interesting article, bu† did I miss something that talked about getting additional time in daily naps (with machine of course)?

They talked about cumulative, but didn't acknowledge potential additional sleep times.

The study concludes that it's not a matter of how many hours of sleep. It's how many hours you are awake!
... cumulative wakefulness in excess of a 15.84 h predicted performance lapses across all four experimental conditions.
Scientists!

This experiment was with healthy people in a lab setting with continuous monitoring and sleep restricted to set hours. No naps here.

I wish I could get more than 6 hours. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow and I sleep 5-6 hours before I get up to pee. After that I doze on and off for an hour and then I am up for the day...no naps.

Thanks, I had a run in with lung cancer and a lung lobe removal so my focus was on healing. I never smoked so it was a surprise.
Also it is a type that is rare and slow growing but no chemo or radiation treatment. That was another surprise.
It involves the neuroendocrine cells and they have a function in oxygen regulation so I have been suspicious that apnea may have been related but that is just my theory.

I lost the hard drive on the computer I was using and all my favorite links to help others so I probably will be less active. Don't have the energy to rebuild all that info.
On the bright side my CPAP therapy has been going well. And it is great to see all the others here. :)
