Edit 5/8/19....I ended up owning this thread which probably looks weird because the very first post was removed. I didn't start this thread.
Long story there that I don't want to go into...so let's just let this thread fade into the archives. It was useless to start with and now even more useless along with not making much sense because you all can't seen the posts that were removed.
Best to just let it die.

The other thread got locked because of repeated requests by members to me privately to shut it down.
This sort of talk gives most decent people a really bad taste in their mouth and they don't want to come here....not because of PR but because of you.
And a big surprise to you....the people who requested the shut down were some of the same people that don't particularly care for the person you want to bully. None were from who you deem his "gang".

We all know what you are trying to do here....be the top bully yourself.

If this thread goes in the same direction as the last one...you can count on it getting shut down sooner than later.

I'd like to say something about online bullying... when I was growing up I was bullied constantly, insistently, by people who were generally mean who did not contribute anything to my life or the lives of those around them.

The advice I would get then, which sometimes would work to a point was to ignore them, though there were lots of times when this advice was useless as the perpetrators would simply escalate the behavior to physical assault which to be honest was a lot harder to let slide.

I find all this talk of bullying to be rather odd given this is online / in a limited forum were there is very little if any opportunity for escalation.

The advice I was given then as I said didnt always work because that was real life but this is online. Online discourse is blessed with the ignore button or you can block people who you find you dont get along with.

We all know cyber bullying is still a major problem when your talking about people who know you or who follow you from one site to another, but it seams that none of us go by our real life names here, that changes things quite a bit.

I wish growing up I had the chance to use an ignore button on the people who would harass me on a nearly daily basis but that's not the way it works.

Now given I've had to put up with more then my fair share of bullying and harrassment I can safely say that I have never felt truly bullied in this forum. Honestly what can someone possibly do to you here? Even during the time of the alphabet boy I didnt feel bullied but rather exasperated and annoyed.

Real bullies dont give... they just take, they stir the pot but add nothing of value to the soup.

To question Pugsy's integrity is rather messed up. You wouldn't be saying things like that if you actually knew the person your trying to insult.

It seams like lately we have a bunch of threads popping up that feel equivalent to school yard fuss fights, lots of pointless name calling and not much constructive debate going on to logicly defend people's view points. Some one says something that rubs someone else the wrong way then they retaliate and then and then and then... we have 10+ pages of utter nonsense that has been hanging around at the top of the forum taking up valuable space that could have been a thread to help someone.

If you have a problem with someone put them on your foe list and move on... if you want to contribute do so... if someone points out something you said was wrong, even if they're mean about it, wait... calm down... go research to see who is right, and if you still feel what you said is true you can "calmly defend your case" think like your on a debate team... your not going to win or persuade anyone of anything if you resort to a bunch of name calling and silly shenanigans, your just lowering your self to the same behavior as the person your arguing with. If you feel that it's wrong for them to be mean or hurtful in their remarks then it's hard to defend your case if your going to use the same tactics.

Hoping things calm down so we can focus more time and attention on providing answers and advice for those who need it.

Restwell,

Gryphon

It occurs to me that this thread has the wrong title,

It should be

Another thread locked because of the "bullies"

What went on is proof enough. Pugsy supports the perps. She even supports their behavior on another cpap forum. Inexcusable for a so called moderator.
