Dreamstation Go Battery

I realize that there is a battery option tailored to the Go machine.

I have Phillip's Li-on battery that I use on the last generation machine.

I realize that the older, larger battery is not designed to fit neatly with go machine.

Can it be used in a fixed-base environment---power block-->previous battery-->battery-in port on Go machine?
