Cpap Mask Cover- Storage after use

Post by Ryzac » Mon Jul 16, 2018 8:16 pm

Hi,
Just want to share my own product www.cpapmaskcover.com

Since I started using cpap in 2011 I have been searching for a way to store the mask after each use to protect from dust and other nasty airborne particles, found some but it cost hundreds of dollars. So I created a simple bag for storage so the mask wont collect dirt and pets hair while hanging bedside. This will not sanitize your mask but it will do the job. Available in Amazon - cpap mask cover. Thank you

I just hang mine face down by the CPAP. No issues with doing so.

The only "job" this will do is separating me from my money.

It's a 'job' that really doesn't need to be done.

Yes...and Carolyn okayed it. She is a lot more lenient that I am.

No need for further discussion about it being first and only post being an ad.

If there is the least chance that the product might work for someone and someone might want it...she will let it stand and I suspect that is why she okayed this one.

If you think you need a bag like this, go to ebay they are LOTS cheaper than the one posted. Personally I think they are useless. In fact, I have a couple in my junk box if anyone wants one.

If the air in my bedroom was so contaminated that i had to cover my mask, I don't think i would live there. Don't forget you're breathing this same contaminated air. If i was so inclined to use such a product a simple plastic bag would do. I also think a purple Crown Royal bag would be a better idea.

On the other side, thank you for your military service and thank you for starting a new business and good luck.

A Crown Royal bag is a good idea plus you'd get to enjoy what came in it.

. . .and here I thought Crown Royal bags were only for storing marbles and Scrabble pieces. . . :)

Enshaded in forgetfulness divine

Well, if anyone really wants an over-engineered water-resistant mask bag for $17, this is looks like a good one to buy. Looks well constructed out of quality materials. But think I want my mask to air out rather than simmer in a waterproof bag. I'm not really sure why it has a velcro strap for the hose but no loop for hanging the bag on a hook, though. If I wanted a bag like this I'd definitely want to hang it, so that seems like a surprising omission.

Beware of putting you mask into a damp moist and stagnant environment. That's exactly what you're doing by putting it in a plastic bag or other closed container.

Airtight bag--bad idea! Think MOLD.
At home, I throw the mask over the hose.(like a bobber on a fishing pole)
In my brother's camper, I just laid it down on the pillow.
I considered using the old Respironics mask bag (remember those?),
but my spare shoes were already in it.
I have wrapped a clean towel around it while staying in a hotel.

I just place my headgear and mask on my nightstand now because I've not had pets since going on CPAP therapy. However, if I still had cats I think placing it somewhere it wouldn't get loaded with cat hair might be a very good idea. I'd probably just make a fabric bag to put it in so there would still be some air movement but it would keep out the hair and worst gunk the pets would bring in. I really don't like the idea of something moisture-proof. After use it seems to me that could just keep moisture in and increase risk rather than reducing it.
