Will Z1 w/DC Cord work with Freedom battery?

Will Z1 w/DC Cord work with Freedom battery?

I have seen numerous places that say you need the 150 W sine converter to operate the z1 with the Freedom battery, but now I see there is a DC Cord available for the ZI. Has anyone hooked it directly to the Freedom battery using the DC wire.
