Hey guys...I might be wrong here but I smell a "fly by".
You all can keep responding if you wish but I would wait to see if this person even comes back wanting help or see if they just want to stir up crap.
I'm not so sure. Even with the ranting, she filled out her profile, so perhaps she's just venting a little because she has no clue as to how this all works, didn't realize most of what she posted is normal for getting setup by her doc, but really wants some help.
All I know is if I didn't find the support available on this site I would probably be her! Thank You Again Everyone!!! :) :) :) :) ... And speaking of colons. At my last colonoscopy I checked in to the hospital & a guy had me put on a hospital robe & put me in bed. He said the head nurse that's assisting with the test will be in in a minute. The door opens & who walks in? A girl I hung around with in high school! "Oh hi Priscilla, how you been for the last 40 years?" An uncomfortable moment there...

My doctor knocked me out and took a video of my colon. Bastard.
I'd let him do that every night, if I could get sleep like that Propofol they use gives a person, LOL
All right, Michael... :wags finger:

You guys rarely see that stuff but I do. They don't anymore use the equipment than my dog does. They just play the game.
I don't help with pity parties or rants though.
Many pugs could probably make use of CPAP to help with their breathing issues.

Frequent joke around our house when Sarge (the pug) starts snoring is how much money I could make if I could figure out a cpap system for snoring dogs.
Sarge's snores were even picked up by my Respironics machine when he would sleep with me and lay his little chin on my shoulder next to my neck.
For such a little dog he makes the most awful window rattling racket.

This past weekend there was the Rescue dog show on one of the cable channels I don't know if any of you all saw it but it was a dog show like the big fancy breed dog show but for rescue dogs of all sorts and one of the categories was Best in Snoring.
Should have known about it...Sarge would have beat them all hands down.
The dog that won Best in Show....a deaf Dalmation who knows sign language.

I think the OP is real, it looks more like a frustrated, angry drive-by than spam.

There's no Medicaid in California. California only has Medi-Cal. Though she may be right about only one DME vendor. California Medi-Cal funnels people into Partnership health plans, essentially HMO's, so once you're in an HMO your choices get pretty limited. More than likely the only DME she can use is Crapria, and that bugs the S**T out of even the smartest and most patient people.

If she comes back in a calmer frame of mind and can take some real advice, I'm sure someone would be willing to help.

That almost sounds like this show. http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/2018-ame ... e-dog-show

My son just got back from watching the large Crufts dog show in Birmingham UK. HE gets to cross that off his bucket list. Unlike un the US, there is really some entertinment in some competition categories.

Here is one example from Crufts Youtube channel. Cinderella! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3STHqhq4CUA

Wait is cpap use and cameras up the well you know what connected?

Oddly enough my first appt with the Sleep Dr was the day before my "procedure". Funny things happen when you make Dr appts 2 months in advance.

But back to the real world, since I had a confirmed diagnosis they gave me O2 during the procedure. Best 15 minutes of sleep I've ever had.

I refuse to believe that the OP is anything but a (really bad) troll. They're a bit too obvious.

That was it and my memory failed me as to who won Best in Show. The senior dog Jackie won and the deaf Dalmation was either second or third. They were all winners in my book.
My husband says that there is a big neon sign above our house (we live out in the country) that say's "Animal Rescue...drop off your unwanted pets here" with a big arrow pointing to our house.
My little Sarge is a black pug that no one wanted because he has some white on him. He was abused as a puppy and I got him at 6 months of age. No one gets any madder than I do when an animal gets abused. I am forbidden to go volunteer at the animal shelter   for good reason too.

On the off-chance that the OP is not a troll, here are the medicaid requirements for continued payment of a CPAP machine beyond the first three months (almost all insurance companies have similar to identical compliance requirements as well):

"The treating physician must perform a clinical reevaluation no sooner than the 31st day, but no later than the 91st day after initiating therapy, which documents the following:

• A face-to-face clinical reevaluation by the treating physician with documentation that symptoms of OSA are improved; and

• Objective evidence of adherence to use (defined as use of PAP devices for 4 or more hours per night on 70% of nights during a consecutive 30-day period anytime during the first 3 months of initial use) of the PAP device, reviewed by the treating physician. Note: Documentation of adherence to PAP therapy shall be accomplished through direct download or visual inspection of usage data with documentation provided in a written report format to be reviewed by the treating physician and included in the patient’s medical record."

Absolutely no one (especially an insurer) will 'trust you' and 'take your word' that you are 'using the device'. As well, no DME will release a device without a signed receipt so claiming never receiving the device beyond being insurance fraud won't get you a new device. As well, if you don't pass compliance you either need to return the CPAP machine (and pay for the first three months of rental yourself) or pay for the entire cost of the machine yourself (at the DME's over inflated prices) and keep the machine. The DME has records of who you are and like any other medical debt if not paid it will be turned over to a collections agency, hit your credit report, and potentially be turned over to an attorney.

The standard medicare (and most insurance) policy is to have you rent the CPAP machine for the first several months (13 for medicare, 10 for many private insurance carriers) and you do not own the machine during that time. Non-compliance and non-return is considered theft in a similar fashion to leasing a car and then at the end of the lease deciding you like it and refuse to return it to the dealer - only after all the rental payments are made do you own the device and if you don't pass compliance you won't be reimbursed by insurance and all the payments are your responsibility.

Good luck with your plans - I see a large medical bill and collection agencies in your future...
