Pugsy:

Thank you . I guess for now I will wait and see what the next 5 days brings. I probably should just be happy that things are looking good.

I have now gone 3 nights. THe first was the best, 2nd, just a bit worse and third a bit worse again.
Still very good numbers.

1) I got a card reader and would like to try this sleepyhead.
First think I read on SH is to be sure to write protect my card. The card is now from the machine unlocked, do they mean I just switch that to locked and if I do that do I then unlock it to put back in my machine for tonight.

2) I have also downloaded SH and once I fiddle with it I will try to post my results.
I need to know about lock and unlock on card now so I can figure this out.

Thanks

The locking of the SD card is only needed with the ResMed S9 model machines.
Your ResMed machine won't care if your operating system puts a little text file on your SD card...Windows 8.xx or higher adds a little text file that the S9 machines didn't like. That's the only reason for the locking of the SD card warning.
I have an AirSense 10 machine...and Windows 10....and I never lock the SD card and I have no issues at all.

It doesn't hurt to lock it but it isn't really needed either.

See if RobySue's SH tutorial helps you get started.

Thank you again PUGSY,
You are really a big help and now I am going to try and see if this works.
I think I followed all the instructions but who knows.

You don't really need the snore graph. So that can be omitted the next time.
For some reason the numbers are missing on the graphs...the left side and bottom.
Not sure what you did there to cause that to happen. I can't remember what causes that to happen...brain not working so great right now.
If you can't figure out what got turned off create a new user profile and download again to the new profile.
I suspect you inadvertently turned off a data point somewhere.

Your report looks pretty darn good. You had a couple of brief large leaks but they weren't prolonged.
Looks like the Flow Limitations are a big factor in your pressure changes which is as to be expected.
Your pressure goes up and stays up because you had a couple of events in close proximity to each other and that's what the for her algorithm will do...goes up and there is a new minimum pressure when that happens. Explained in the manual.
See my report below....same thing happened to me. The pressure didn't drop back totally down to the minimum until I turned the machine off and then back on. I have decided that I kinda like it doing things that way myself.

See the numbers here with the graphs?

OK< when I put in tomorrows data, I will try to get the numbers.

When I start out tomorrow if I stay with same profile will all the changes I made to day be there for tomorrow or do I do the changing of the graphs , etc etc again.

If everything stays the same as my changes then I guess I will have to start a new profile so that I can get it right.

Thanks

Well, I am now on night 6 and my numbers while still good I think, none are as good as night 1.

Here is my new data, if I did it right again.

I love this new mask compared to all the ones I used in the last 22 years but I do not understand why it shows so many leaks
I do not feel any.

What do you all think, am I OK like it is. I bought some tape and will try taping my mouth tonight to see how that goes.

You are probably asleep when the leaks are occurring which is why you aren't noticing them. We can sleep through some pretty big leaks...or at least I can.
There are either mask movement or mouth breathing.

What mask did you used to use?

I started out years ago it's full face
Then respironics wisp
Now this is the first time with pillow mask
Do you think my data looks ok.
Can you tell by that if it us mouth breathing.
I bought tape today so will be trying that tonight.

We can't tell for sure if the leaks you see are mask movement leaks or mouth breathing leaks just from what is seen here.
The machines doesn't really have any way to know. All it knows is a leak in the circuit from something. People tend to assume that all leak seen when using a nasal mask is mouth breathing leaks but it isn't necessarily the case.
Last summer I was trying the DreamWear gel pillows and I had worse leaks than yours last night and I needed to know if it was mask movement or mouth breathing so I did tape my mouth and come to find out the next morning (tape still in place) the leaks were still really bad so it must have been mask movement leak going on.

Not sure what you mean.

I have a little tutorial
viewtopic/t88983/Pugsys-PointersSleepyH ... Hints.html

and RobySue has one
http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph ... d#pid73182

No special website that I know of.

I read the two tutorials you posted Pugsy.
Thats a lot of info. I am starting to understand some of this stuff.

Last night I taped my mouth closed and I did better last night.
Here are my results:

In the pressure why is their a red line and then green . What is the meaning of the 2 lines?

Also in the event flags the tiny little lines, are they events and why are some red and some green?

Thanks

Red line in IPAP or inhale pressure and green line is EPAP or exhale pressure. You are using EPR exhale relief so the pressure drops during exhale.

I have no idea what you are seeing. Sorry. Picture please....I can't see red or green stuff on my events graph with my report.

Yes, those are events. The colors correspond to the colors on the Event Breakdown pie chart.

To the top left of the page, if you click on the Events tab, it will open up to show each event including the length.Furthermore, you can click on an event and observe it in the Flow Rate chart.

Your breathing is very good. How are you feeling during the day? Excess sleepiness? Energetic?
