Non zippered hose covers?

Post by sleeplessinaz » Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:48 am

Hi all,
I know pad a cheek makes wonderful quality hose covers and I went to order one for my newly diagnose husband and can only find ZIPPERED hose covers on her web site. I did email her to ask if she still makes the non zippered ones, just thought I’d post on here in case someone knows where they are located on her site. I clicked on Hose Covers but only zippered ones come up. Thank in advance.

We have two of the zippered hose covers from Padacheek and really like them. I had a hose cover without a zipper and found it to be a real pain to put on. Personally, I would rather have one with a zipper. If you really want one without a zipper, cpap.com has them:

I had a non zippered Padacheek hose cozy and I gave it away. Big PITA to put on and take off.
Non zippered used to be the main thing but more and more it has gone to the zippers because of easy of putting on and removal.

Maybe Karen at Padacheek has a non zippered hose laying around somewhere but just doesn't show it on her web site.
Wait and see what she says when she gets her email.

How about, "Just because?"
Does it really matter?
Sometimes it is just aesthetic.
Something wrong with that?

We route the hoses up over the headboad and the covers keep the hose from making noise if it gets moved during the night, plus my wife likes the way they look.

I have always used a hose cover because when I turn over, I don't like the feel of the bare hose on my skin. The cover is soft and warm and feels better.

I think I have an unused one in the closet. Message me if you haven't already found one. Be glad to drop it in the mail.

I make my own out of fleece, the same fabric Karen uses. I sew it into a tube and when its time to put it back on my hose after a wash, I just put a plastic baggie over the end, slides on perfect.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

.
For ten years I've had a non-zippered hose cover and have very little trouble getting the hose in and out of it. I've always used a hose cover so the hose doesn't make any noise hitting up against or sliding on anything. (It runs behind my nightstand and through a ribbon loped over the knob at the top of my headboard.) And like Madalot, I also think it just feels better!

Sleeplessinaz,I hope you find what you're looking for!
