I would love to hear about it if you have gotten past all the problems and are a happy snoozer. TY.

Believe it- or not, most of us are - you don't hear from or see those who've been helped already, only those who aren't 'there' yet and those who've stuck around to try and help.

Considering the alternatives....very happy.
Been 8 plus years now. A few bumps in the road but none I couldn't get over and conquer.

I won't say it was all easy, and there is still the occasional ugly night, but sticking with it definitely paid off.
- I don't feel like crawling back in bed in the middle of the day.
- My husband doesn't have to hear me struggle to breathe. Now he says my breathing is very quiet and steady.
- I don't get up multiple times in the night to go to the bathroom.
- My energy level has increased.
- My outlook on life has brightened.
- I got through the adjustment phase and now masking up at night is second nature - no big deal.
I love my CPAP

I love it. Before CPAP I used to wake up 2-3 nights and go to the bathroom. Don't know the correlation between that and CPAP, but now I go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning. Nothing in between.

No, it's not suppose to make you happy, I am also not happy taking 25 pills daily or injecting insulin 3 times a day, i'm not happy getting older and having more medical problems, when I should be enjoying retirement like the people on T.V.. I'm not happy that I can't do anything like stand for 5 minutes or walk 50 feet even with a cane, due to back pain and not being able to get my breath. I'm not happy going to endless Dr. Appt's. So No, XPAP doesn't make me Happy, but it allows me to go on one more day at a time. I won't be whining about little things like putting on my XPAP and O2 line.

I hope one day you too will find this true. Jim

Very similar to my experience. I will add that I had zero adjustment time, just was not a big deal to me considering the benefits gained. If you have SA, then using a XPAP is a lot better than a quicker trip to the cemetery.

After 30+ years of poor and unrestful sleep, from week 1 I felt better, and now 6 months in, I feel so much better that I do have words to describe it. Happy - You bet. Frustrated at times, for sure. but I couldne be happier with the overall results of having a CPAP in my life.

Well Jim--u need to walk in some elses shoes before you spout off. Getting set on cpap is not easy for everyone. Every situation is different.

Yes, every situation is different. No one said CPAP would take away all of our ills, but it does at least make one of them more manageable. For that, I am happy and grateful. It has given me the energy and mindset to deal with other issues I'm facing.

Sorry, I find my shoes, all I need, anyway I've been told I don't have the legs for high heels. May you never have a problem worse than XPAP. Jim

Those that have the best success are those that have gotten past the crap idea that "only the doctor or DME can adjust the machine".
