what it does is improve the quality of life

feeling good is still worth using it though

Double blind, by definition, means that neither patient nor provider knows who got the REAL medicine.
Placebos are used for drugs, but it would be unethical to provide a placebo cpap device.

Jack, You are fairly new here, so I will repeat this old saw that has been posted here many times.

"He died peacefully in his sleep while his passengers died screaming."

In the winter, I have the humidifier level set to 3 and temp to 72, now I turned down the temp to 70. It's just that I don't like the cold air in the winter, warm air in the summer. So if I don't want to use the humidifier and heated horse in the summer, do I still need to add the water into the tank? Many people mentioned about "Passover Mode", I need to check if my air curve 10 have that function or not. or just turn it off or on in the humidifier setting, I don't remember.

Just put the temperature all the way down. That is "off".
Dedicated passover humidifiers may have more water surface area, so your non-heated mode will give you a little moisture.

How the hell do you do a double-blind study of using CPAP?

You have a group of patients who are using CPAP, but don't know they are using CPAP??

I want that mask and machine!
+1!

Sorry, Mibbim, I couldn't resist the chance. My family are horsey types.

Hope you get everything set up to your satisfaction!
