Hang in there. I have been toying with using cpap/bipap for 18 months now. I have finally come to the conclusion that it's a must or my health will suffer. I got started back about 4 weeks ago and have been doing a little better each week. I too was waking fully every 1 1/2 - 2 hours. My doctor started me on requip for PLMD, as this was one thing the Bipap was not treating. The requip seems to help. I have also been reading my respironics smart card data to see where I was waking. It turns out that I was leaking from my mouth and didn't know and these leaks at there worst were right were I was waking. I also had a dry mouth which is a tip off.
I put on the chin strap the doctor prescribed, but didn't wear and I slept for 5 hours without waking. This is the best I have ever done and I expect it to get better. I have also found that reading this forum has much information to consider. Good luck!!!
