If you have a tendency to remove the mask in the middle of the night and not realize it...sometimes putting the chin strap over the mask will help a person not remove the mask in the middle of the night.
alright thanks, The paper says the other straps one goes around the back of your head and the other one under your neck.
I should have had her put it on me in front of a mirror.
it just don't seem right.
I think with out the chin strap my mouth is going to fall right out of this mask too.
Maybe I'll get on to it, I'm pretty disgusted right now.

No, when I take the mask off, I know I'm taking it off. Maybe I'll have to buy a better one.

OK!
There is a Video on this page.
Right at 31 seconds, see the one in the middle, on the bottom?
That's the one I have.
Anyone have that one?.............Know anything about it?
I could swear the tech today hooked the white "stays" To my headgear from the bask, One on each side.
But it looks like the paper with it differs. I'm going to see what I can find. Here is the link.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/premie ... strap.html

Here is a direct you tube link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bCbkbO ... tion=share

EDIT
Ok, NO! Look at 1min, 51 seconds, I see how she has it. I'll save a screen shot and try that.
They way the video seems to state, They are saying this is a good design.

Is it really true, the strap need not be all that tight?

I wonder why you wouldn't offer a suggestion instead of just saying something "is absolutely not true"?

You can still mouth breathe (and get dry) with a FF mask on, you just won't lose Cpap air that way, which is a good thing, if uncomfortable. You can try using Biotene before putting the mask on to help prevent the dryness.

I am interested in maybe trying this "Biotene".
Where do I get it, at walmart.
Do I just coat my mouth with it. Is it a paste or more of a liquid.
Do you use it, and have good results, (anyone really)
See, I might like to try the new mask with out the chin strap or a collar, Just get too dang hot overnight.
I would rather not have to run a A/C in my room this early in the year.

geez, Looks Like there is a rinse, sort of like a mouthwash, and a spray, and a Gel too
What is the best?
says "works up to 4 hours? I would think I'd need it to last more than that.
But IDK maybe if I only really woke up one time that would be better than what I'm doing now.
See even when I was working, I would sort of tend to stay up late,
People would say,
"You have to go to bed early" (like 10:00 PM)
ok, well that's all well and good, (Ideally) but I would say, well if I go to bed at 10:00 pm, I'll just be up at Midnight.
I'll bet I had this apnea issue for a good while.

I think we all had it for quite some time. I know I felt better the less I slept too since I was a kid.

I tried the mouthwash didn't really help me. I just keep a bottle of diluted Gatorade or Propel by the bed. W/a nasal mask you can wet your whistle w/o removing the mask.

But you should try everything for yourself and draw your own conclusions. Any pharmacy should have Biotene or a similar product.

Gee, I wish it would have worked.
I have the Amara View Full Face CPAP Mask now, so It's a hassle to take a drink.
Maybe Ill try the Gel.
Thanks,

anyone using a chin strap that is not so dang HOT!!
I was only able to sleep the 1st night for ~ 2 hours, and woke up ROASTING.
almost looks like this thing is made up of some type of nylon,
I'll google some too.
I don't know weather to try another doctor, or another equipment provider.
Like I said, the Dr. is passing the buck to the provider, and everytime I want to try something new,
she has to order it.
You would think they have the stuff in stock.
Getting very frustrated with all of this.

the other thing is this Biotine I was wanting to try, but several people said they changed it, and it don't work as well.
I read one site said the Jell was the best.
I'm going to check Amazon reviews and see if they say it was changed too.
Wish I had a better specialist the seemed to want to work with me.
Im not too happy with this doctor.

EDIT
looks like they changed the gel too.
They are saying at amazon it's no good anymore.

Turned the hose heat and the humidity down to 1 tonight.
Might be getting some where, post t night I see to have been getting about 4 good hours with out waking up.
Do have the dry mouth.
I usually (well past 2 nights) take off mask, maybe sleep another hour.
But then at least I feel like getting up. But might have got up at about 6:00 AM. But usually have to take a nap around noon.
I "think" if I could get rid of the dry mouth, I may do better.
I have not been using the chin strap but for the 1st night.
Since they can't seem to help me, I guess I have to choose a strap, and have her order it.

Yeah, That seemed worse, Put them both to 5 tonight. See what happens.

Bunch O people on Amazon and Walmart dot com
Say since they changed the Biotene gel, it is no longer any good, IDK.
I need to change my mask in my profile, But I actually kind O like this Amara view mask.
Seems Comfortable,
seems to seal good, and I can read without seeing the mask in my side vision. (Big Reader here)

thinking I might try the Xylimelts tablets in my mouth while sleeping with the CPAP next.
How many do you folks put in your mouth at night, 1 0r 2?
