Finally got my AirSense 10 AutoSet

Post by Hannibal 2 » Tue Feb 21, 2017 7:10 am

The ResMed tech spent over an hour with me and didn't want to charge a consultation fee! I explained why I wanted the girly 'For Her' machine (extra algorithm, same price, no brainier) and she was happy with that.

Ok, so because I am not sure how much or little I mouth breathe (my previous machine had no SD card), the tech advised me to try my nasal mask for 4 nights followed by my FF Mask for 4 nights, then she will look at the data for me. She feels that the humidifier and heated hose may possibly alter my breathing habits.

So I've had my first night and I wasn't expecting to feel great today as I awoke several times. However, I do feel good today so I was keen to look on MyAir to see my score. I kept checking but there's nothing there! Then I read that I was supposed to leave the machine on for an hour to allow the data to transmit - makes sense.

So will I still be able to send last night's data if I switch the machine on for an hour when I get home this evening?

Thanks to everyone for your previous advice in getting to this stage, I feel I am at last taking some control of my treatment.

Congrats on your new machine!

I also have the Resmed Autoset 10 and it does not have to be on to transmit the data. It does, however, take some time for the info to show up on their website. I usually check it when I get to work in the morning just to see what my AHI is. It should be there within an hour.

Hope this helps!

Be sure the "essentials Plus" is "on". This will give you more info.

Did anyone tell you your avatar is freaky-lookin'?

Thanks very much!

This is what I read on MyAir:

"After you wake up, leave your machine on and give it about an hour to send your data to myAir."

I think that I also read somewhere that the first time takes longer to be received.

I'll check that tonight, thanks!

Nobody told me that before about my avatar, I used to think that anyone in a mask was 'freaky lookin" but now it's just normal

Get SleepyHead and then you can have your data, in much more detail, when you want to see it. If you want it and need help just ask.

"ON" does not mean "BLOWING".

ON means "don't unplug it from the wall, or hold the button down for a long time to actually turn the machine "off".

Yes I understood it meant standby, I'm just used to turning my machine off at the wall, lesson learned

I will be anxious to hear how you feel about having a real working heated humidifier instead of that cobbled up system you were using.
I know it's probably too soon to form an opinion about that part of things.
