In my case, I think it has helped with the physical cause of my OSA.
My housemate told me, two mornings after my sleep study with titration, that I snored much less after my sleep study, which implies that CPAP use during my sleep study had a healing effect on my airway. After two months of CPAP therapy, I was able to get AHI under 1.0 with a fixed pressure 2cm below the bottom of my prescribed autopap range.
sure, whatever works for you.

point to ponder: prescriptions are notoriously inaccurate.

Sometimes it is still a novelty.
I am filled with wonder at this marvel.
Chunky, you're a month "younger" than me in CPAP years! I always thought you'd been here forever! (In a good way).

I got on the hose in 2010, and after the first night using a loaner from my sleep Doc's office I never looked back. Like putting on reading glasses is a good analogy. They're a little odd and awkward at first, but if you're like me, you'll soon find yourself searching around the office for your glasses until you find your spare pair, put them on, and realize your glasses were up on your forehead the whole time.

I once made the mistake of urging a friend to get a sleep study by telling him that sleeping with my APAP is better than sex. My wife overheard me say that, and I still hear about it.

Since September 1, 2010. I am very grateful to have a condition that is treatable without medication. Do I bound out of bed each morning full of energy? No. But then, I am not a morning person.
