Machine runs out of water.

I have the Philips DreamStation and it consistantly is out of water when I wake up after 6 hours of use. the supplier gave me a new humidifier after my first week of use. The same problem still exists. It does have the heated hose connection. I'm running at 2 humidity. It's out of water whether I have the preheat on or not. My wife wakes up when it runs out of water because it makes a gurgling noise. I'm considering asking my insurance if there's another brand they'll cover. Having dry air blown into my nose & throat is painful. It is dry in the high desert, but that 's all the reason for a more humid air supply. And I'm not a mouth breather. 2/3/2017.

That's probably due to how the board software makes that determination. I don't know for sure, but likely it does so using the IP address of the guest poster. Now generally speaking your ip address is going to be different from some other random person posting. However, it's possible for it to be the same if you're both on the same internet service provider, because of something called NAT (Network Address Translation). There are aren't enough IP addresses to go around, so internet providers use NAT to share IP address across potentially a large number of individual connections (by different users). This allows them to have a relatively smaller pool of unique ip addresses to service a large number of customers. Yeah..that's what is happening. I have even seen a few "pugsy" in parentheses and I know it was not me doing the posting.
It used to be that the names in parentheses was a way for us to identify people fairly accurate when they weren't logged in but with the way people are using the internet now and the limited IP addresses out there it's going to happen more and more that an error in identification will be made.
