Room humidifier

Post by davep700 » Sat Mar 05, 2016 10:42 am

Does anyone use a "cool mist" room humidifier rather than the heated humidifer in the machine, and if so does the moist air pass well through the xPAP machine's intake filter? If so can you put the humidifer close to the xPAP machine without damaging the XPAP machine's electronics from moisture?

I tried it for a bit and didn't benefit from it. Ended up with alot of condensation on the windows. The ideal relative humidity for health and comfort is about 40-50%. In the winter months, it may have to be lower than 40% RH to avoid condensation on the windows.
Sleeping better since 01/13/2016
Masks I have tried
AirFit F10-FFM, AirFit N10-Nasal, Mirage Liberty-Hybrid FFM, Mirage Quattro-FFM, Swift FX Nano-Pillow, Mirage Activa LT-Nasal, ComfortGel Blue-FFM, Amara View -FFM, Pilairo Q -Pillow, Dreamwear -Nasal

no, you don't want your humidifier blowing on the cpap, cool or steam.
