my sleep hygine is pretty good.
I need to be better about bed times.
I think why get in bed when I will lie awake?
ovo lacto vegitarian, grow 50% of my fruits and vegetables.
no more napping for me,for the last 5 years.
no caffeine for 4 years, occasionally chocolate,but not a sweet tooth.
no meds
bed is isolated, mostly quiet,but AM traffic.
stress happens, it is a fixture of life.
working the software, thank you to sleepy head.
they ran $900 of bloodwork on me, clean, but vitamin D low.
I will try some screen shots tomorrow. I know this can work, but it only works once I or twice a week.

Three months, IMO, is not enough time to judge that the therapy is "not working". How many "good" nights did you have before therapy? The most difficult thing about this condition is that when the solution....treatment....comes along, you are so tired and fatigued from years of crappy sleep that you can barely muster the energy and the strength to buckle down and learn how to manage your therapy. It is even more difficult for folks who have other serious medical conditions to manage at the same time, or are on meds that contribute to the problem of getting consistent, good sleep. And then some have sleep hygiene habits that are difficult to mitigate. You are getting some great results on some nights. I would kill for one night below a 2.0 AHI. But I am still thick in the weeds of optimizing my own therapy.
So my advice is take the good days when you do have some energy and zoom in on learning every thing you can about your condition and treating it. While you are at it, work on changing what you can on Granny's sleep hygiene list. I find that having a fan or some other white noise maker in the room helps eliminate noises that wake me when others in the house are not on my schedule.
What I have realized is that just because my therapy is not optimized and not completely consistent either, I am still WAY better than I was 3 1/2 months ago when I started. WAY better. The people that are successful with this are those that are committed to making the therapy work and committed to getting better, even though it can be a lengthy process. I see others on here that seem to be looking for an excuse to fail, or want to chunk the machine when they face a bump in the road. So, do you want to get better or not? If the answer is yes, then dig deep and commit yourself to making it work. I think you want to succeed or you wouldn't be here.

Yes I have a white noise machine, it is called Dohm. It is nice but even with ear plugs the road noise is tough.
It is so frustrating, I get one good night a week. I am a total wreck today, but 2 nights ago I slept and actually felt somewhat human for rhe first time in years. I guess I should be thankful to even get one good night out of ten.

Sleep apnea, by itself, can wreck your nerves. Don't let your worry over getting a good CPAP therapy make it worse. You could try some relaxation techniques and get CPAP totally off your mind.Mopheus wrote:It is nice but even with ear plugs the road noise is tough.

From that list you posted, I have two concerns. One, you don't mention exercise.
Two, anytime I see the word "vegetarian", I have a knee jerk reaction: "This person is not eating healthy." Make sure you are getting the proper nutrients and protein.

I walk a couple miles four times a week. Also just meat that I don't eat, I eat fish and eggs and dairy.
Here are two recent nights after bumping min pressure to 6. Last two nights found me with mask off and several hours with no therapy.

Malnutrition among vegetarians can be alleviated somewhat by accessing some of the nutritional studies
done by Seventh Day Adventist researchers. They have been doing this for a long time;
and I was astounded by the amount of useful information they have.
If you want/need to "go veg", do not do it without their amino acid data.
Protein is very important for recovery post-surgery and any illness.

I would say the same thing, Min to 7 and your max is already at 15...
start at 7 and leave it there for a week, see how you feel and post up some more screenshots..
don't give up it works, you just have to find the sweet spot..

This is what I'm talking about. This was the night before raising my min. pressure to 6. Was out late, alcohol was consummed.
So I know it can happen, but it is like once a week at best. I'm going to ride a couple more nights at 6
Then try 7 if things don't change.

well that is interesting... seems like adding booze makes you relax/pass out and you are sleeping better..
you went over 6 hours without waking...
does this happen when you drink? does your lower AHI coincide with/when you drink?
