Cheers and thanks for the heads up guys.

Don't forget to use it (or run it without using it) for a few hours every week.

WHY As I said it only gets used maybe once a year for 4 or 5 days in my motorhome. When I first got it in 2010 I only used it for about 6 months until one of the members here sold me an auto, then I'm I have only used it as my backup... total, maybe... less than 100 hours as back up, including power outages .
Good luck with telling my to run it a few hours every week, it hasn't died yet, so why should it now. It has had LITTLE use in 5 years....do you run your back up a few hours every week. I sincerely doubt it.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

It's just like a refrigerator or dishwasher. You have to run it every so often or the seals dry out. Also, should the machine cease to function, you'll know about it at a good time, not have a crisis on vacation or right before vacation.

DH...... You can't read can you. I said..... it has only been used about 100 hours over the past 5 years... and still works as soon as I turned it on. You either need to slow down your reading and catch every word or TAKE READING LESSONS. I have noticed in the threads that you have answered, it is always the same, you only "get" half of what has been written and then give out erroneous information on what you "think" has been asked.

I don't think he *can* read... or comprehend, maybe the words just go in his eyes and bounce around in that big hollow space between his ears... then fall out his mouth onto the floor, or if we're unfortunate, the keyboard.

Hi All,

Just spoke with someone that knows the problem....(working @ F&P).......

Looks like it is the CAPACITOR that does not charge....
That's why, after a long time, it starts....

Is it possible to change it????....That I don't know.....

I wonder if that is the only brand with that "feature" . . .
[[[I would add to PR's suggestion, "INSULATED screwdriver"]]]

well, the screwdriver was only to open it up, not poke around in the unplugged innerds.

Can we get back on topic? Last week, I complained to F&P about this. They told me to take my Premo (bought in May 2013) to my homecare provider/CPAP supplier which I did today. Turns out the capacitor issue is real for many of the machines manufactured 2012-2014. They gave me a new one, plus a hose and carrying case, no questions asked.

BTW: There were a bunch of recalls in 2012-2013. My serial number was not on the list but it should have been. I have to say F&P stepped up.
