new CPAP rumors

Post by Guest » Sat Dec 05, 2015 7:11 pm

I'd like to start a thread and see as of the end of 2015, what rumors are floating around out there on the internet about any new CPAP machines on the horizon. Please let us know and be sure and send us the URL to any of the rumored sites.

Is there a picture of the new machine on the email? Do you have a link?

All machines sold in 2016, will have alarm clocks built, because waking up is so much more important that good treatment. Jim

NIV is "Non Invasive Ventilation," which is a term similar to "CPAP, bilevel, BiPAP, ASV, etc." It's not equivalent to something like AirSense or DreamStation. ResMed has 11 or so machines that are considered NIV.

However, I'd be interesting in seeing what the e-mail said, if you will copy and paste it here.

Philips Respironics has new models called DreamStation. There is also a new Dorma series that I don't have a lot of information on. Dorma seems to be very reduced function and seems to be mostly used outside the US. I'm not sure where Dorma fits in the scheme of things.

ResMed has their fairly new AirSense 10 and AirCurve10 machines.

I doubt PR or Resmed will have any other major new announcements in the CPAP arena any time soon.

Well, the "also posted as" information points to this person/registered user:

But, my question is........
I'd like to start a thread and see as of the end of 2015, what rumors are floating around out there on the internet about any new CPAP machines on the horizon. Please let us know and be sure and send us the URL to any of the rumored sites.
Why do we have to do your work for you? There are many "trade" websites which discuss and review these things.
If you're so interested, how about YOU posting what YOU'VE found.
