Thanks, Pugsy, I wondered about that. Are the UAs here similar to the FLs on the PRS1 or is that something completely different?

PS - Metsfan, you are taking this like a fish to water. I have no doubt that with time your numbers and, more importantly, sleep quality will continue to improve.

My wife last night asked me a question that well I could not answer.

Why do all these Cpap/vpap etc companies make so many different models when they can make just 1 say an ASV type machine that can be set to do Cpap/Apap/Asv etc..... ?
A lot of R&D went into developing the ASV. CPAP has been around for a while; ASV is relateively new. Keep the most features at the top tier and you can demand a higher price.

No. UAs seen on SleepyHead reports from the Adapt will show up in the Apnea Index count on ResScan.
We assume they are obstructive apneas.
They are a real flagged event and have nothing to do with FLs.

Give yourself a few nights to adjust to the machine and the machine to adjust to your breathing.
You may want to increase the EPAP just a little but you don't want to do that just yet based on 1 short night.
Last night was very acceptable for a first night on ASV....with ASV you do have to give things a bit of time to settle in..maybe even more so than with cpap/apap. Huge/monumental improvement over what has been happening.

For people wondering about the UAs shown on SH..it's the way SH reports what the machine gathers.
In this situation it isn't a leak causing the UA flags.

I never doubted you, I doubted the technology. I just did not see how anything would fix my "truckload of shit"

Is there a way a living person can be Sainted? As Pugsy needs to be!!!!

Well here is Yesterday's Data
- Shocking and I still can't get over it, I keep telling myself something has to be wrong.

What's wrong is that machine kicked ass!

Now bad, not bad..... still a bit tired. Am sure I have a crap ton of true sleep to catch up on.

I still gotta get use to the ASV - it pumps some air thats for sure. it makes the smaller lighter hose bounce and flex around more so then what i noticed on cpap

I think everyone needs an ASV and a Pugsy. Both are just wonderful.

I still have this upcoming sleep study and after that a follow up with my sleep Dr..... Guess i'll show him some of the reports since I've used the ASV and see if he wants to prescribe one so I can get a new fancy one and have this one for a back-up.... Or tell him to go pound rock salt - we got this lol and figure out how to get pugsy paid from my insurance

Lord yes- bring the sleep doc the before and after graphs, especially your first and second nights as you've posted here. If he doesn't prescribe the machine you need, FIRE him and get another doc is my advice! Can your primary doc prescribe the machine for you? My primary doc last year prescribed everything for me, including machine.

Glad you are starting to feel rested! It does take a while sometimes to start to feel better on a routine basis, but you'll get there

Very nice! Almost 2 years on ASV and I have yet to see mister smiley. LIke fish to water, your are.
It is obvious that the machine is doing its job. The long pole in the tent is getting the right amount of undisturbed sleep. Hopefully two consecutive hours turns into 4, 6, etc. Then you will really start to feel better.

Congratulations on ealry success!

- Flappy

Well I switched Mask's last night - from my older Nuance to the Resmed P10, Going to get some getting use to it, it def is nice and had no leaks.

I did change one setting changed the 4 to a 3, should of left it alone haha - should of just folled Dr Pugsy's Order's But what an amazing change from the 30-50 AHI Number's I was averaging on the reg auto cpap. Dare I say I am back to normal (As long as I use an ASV)?

Here it is
