Out of control

Post by Portageegal » Fri Oct 30, 2015 11:41 am

Here is my latest report. I don't know what the hell to do. I have been using cpap for almost 7 years and it has never been this bad.

What IS your AHI? Can you post actual graphs?

Julie her AHI is a little less than 10.0 and primarily OAs.
Just add the events shown on the colored bar graphs.

See this thread for examples of what graphs we need to see...and turn off the pie chart as it is useless.

Without seeing your pressure graphs it's hard to know what to offer but I suspect the minimum of 12 cm needs to be increased...probably around 14 or 15...either that or reduce EPR which probably wouldn't be much fun at your pressures.

My pressure is between 12 and 17, usually in the 16 range. That nearly blows the mask off. I have ordered a new seal for my mask and am hoping that will fix the leaks. A couple of nights ago I had over 100 events.

Sometimes when the minimum pressure is more optimal the machine won't go as high because it is doing a better job preventing the airway from collapsing instead of trying to fix it after the fact.

She hasn't changed her equipment profile.
She posted a partial daily report from SleepyHead...see above.
She is now using either the S9 AutoSet or the AirSense 10 AutoSet...I am thinking the S9.
EPR at 3 full time...that's a ResMed machine setting.

How old is your S9? You may need a new machine. Miy PR machine started croaking after about 5 years and my treatment suffered until I realized it and got a new APAP machine. Or, you may need a new or different mask. My therapy suffered when I wore an P10 mask for 1.5 years without changing nasal pillows and improved when I got a new P10 that wasn't as loose. Sleepyhead clued me into the leak in the old P!0. I thought everything was fine. Just a few ideas, in case any may help you.
