I haven't flown since being on CPAP, but before CPAP I routinely embarrassed myself with horrible snoring. IMHO, being upright in an airline seat does nothing for apnea--I still snore and stop breathing and have terrible reflux even if I fall asleep sitting up.

That said, sometimes you don't have a choice--the electricity goes off, you are en route, you are unexpectedly away from home for the night, etc. The chances are slim that one night will harm you. But don't let that "slim chance" turn into a voluntary night or two or twenty without CPAP just because you can.

(I'm sure YOU won't, ButeLiz, this is for the benefit of those who might catch a bad idea from this thread.).
