Dennis The Downer here:

AIRING is a start-up company with a product design, rather than a product, and no capital.

They plan to raise funds to actually develop, then build and finally get FDA approval for it using Indiegogo crowdfunding beginning in June of this year.

Assuming they are successful with their funding round it could easily take another two years for product production and FDA approval to complete.

There is also the possibility that it will never be built or approved, much as we all might wish for it.

Probably. For a while anyway.

Probably not. Nor do they take the time to take a quick look on the front page of the forum.
I hate the forum search feature myself so I can't cast too many stones in that regard.

Yes we have heard of it.
No one has tried it in the general cpap user population because it is still an idea in its infancy looking for funding to proceed with production, testing and FDA approval, etc. It's a long way from being available to the general public.

For some reason, I am fascinated by this device and hope it does come to fruition which means it won't. All jokes aside, I wonder if it would prevent what Dr. Park talks about here:

Sometimes, having a mask on your face is enough stimulation to keep waking you up, especially if you’re in a lighter stage of sleep.

Yeah, me too.
You know me and my love to experiment...man, I am just itching to try something like this. I would gladly sign up for a trial or be a guinea pig or whatever.
My preference for nasal pillows and "less on my face and head" and that little doodad....I would try it in a heartbeat.

Do we know, yes. Why do we know, because we read the posts in the forum and become informed, before we post. If you want to be informed please read t G e other two posts, you might want to keep your money in your pocket, or not! Jim

Startrek devices are likely to be a reality long before this Pie in the Sky XPAP machine. Maybe Dr. McCoy has a pill that will grow you a correct airway, like the one he gave the old lady, and she grew a new kidney.

Me, I want the food duplicator that can supply me with Chocolate Pie on demand.

Dr. Steven Park says "...not sleeping effectively can cause your entire nervous system

"

En garde, edgy, hypersensitive, and over-reactive - that sounds just like ME

Finally there's something I can blame for my lack of friends!

Name's Dennis, but you can call me Cranky.

The Sharks generally reject anything that hasn't made it past the drawing board.

That's true most of the time. The exposure on tv could get them financing elsewhere though. I recall Cuban bitching that someone came on the show knowing they would reject deals so they could get outside financing on more than one occasion.
