Apparently I died last night

Post by On the virge » Tue May 05, 2015 9:23 am

Well, not really. I awoke this morning after a good night's sleep and looked at my data. I was confounded by a 40 minute period when it appears I stopped breathing. While I am completely unconcerned about the data, I can't figure out what happened. Any ideas?

It's either firmware issue in that the data didn't get written to the SD card or maybe the SD card has a bad spot on it or maybe simply the file on the SD card got corrupted.
This seems to happen every now and then where part of the data shows up and part doesn't.
No definitive known culprit and usually we tell people to ignore it unless they start seeing it happen a lot and then they need to let the equipment supplier know that it isn't recording to the SD card properly.

What puzzles me is that the data recorded the three sets of pressure pulses and attendant flow rate. I find the graphs humorous. I wondered whether I might have turned my face and mask into the pillow (I was using Swift FX pillows last night) or compressed the hose in some way to confuse the sensors. Your random data event explanation is the best I can think of.

Other people have seen this. I have seen it with my own PR S1 machine. We just don't know what causes it to happen. This is where we usually blame my alien friends as they always get blamed for weird stuff that happens that we can't explain away with a logical reason.
Now if it becomes a habit...there's something going on in the machine that is unacceptable and it needs to be brought to the attention of the equipment supplier especially if during the warranty period.

in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Office of Zombie Preparedness and Response would be greatly appreciated.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to JediMark and Jack Russell Fan for their software.

Hey, virge. Do you see any corresponding anomalies in the detailed charts using other sleep monitoring software?
