Hi Froggy!

Sorry to hear about the stress! I've found using Lanacane (max strength) helps with the irritation. If it's really bad use some of the OTC oral pain meds that you swab in your mouth (contains benzocaine) to help numb the area.

While it's working start thinking about the perky pair that's waiting to meet you!

-Bill

Now there's an idea!
A good-bye party for the "girls"?
Chocolate? (Already dispatched the dark bunnies.)
Manicure? Colored tips with clear beds for pulse-ox use?
Maybe just say another prayer of thanksgiving for the early catch.

Many years ago while working under high stress conditions, I had the same hand problem, diagnosed as dyshidrosis.

Good luck to you. Earl

My doctor also said dyshidrosis, he recommended cortisone. I told him I had some.
Didn't mention it was Clobetasol. The OTC wimpy crud is nearly useless,
but the Rx stuff is as effective as it is dangerous.

I have the itchy finger thing quite often. I have tried everything to make it less annoying but so far haven't found anything that works very well.
Didn't know there was a name for it so I guess I will go read up on it. Wonder if that is what is going on around my toes too? Nothing helps with that itching either.

Get some massage. It is great for letting go of stress.

I had the same thing on my foot, which is why I got the Clobetasol.
It is 600 times stronger than the OTC, and is NOT RECOMMENDED on face or near eyes or broken skin.
There are formulations in between, and your doctor should know which to use.

GOOD NEWS! The intake nurse tells me I will be "inpatient",
which means I don't have to worry about my Rx meds in the hospital!
I also asked about a hose hanger, since I always use one.
She said the respiratory dept. would get whatever I want.
