"Venting" as in expressing one's opinion or "venting" as in the exhaust rate (also called vent flow rate) of a mask?

In regard to the first one.......No.

In regard to the second one........
I liked robysue's answer better....

I didn't read hers until after I had posted mine (I was typing a response to "ALF" and hadn't seen that she had posted) and wasn't going to delete what I had spent the time to type.

You got to remember a lot of people are scared of new diagnosis and they need somewhere to go to Vent is a Message board a place to do that? Not necessarily but remember we all were in those shoes before. I still am scared Been a long 7 weeks now and I still haven't started therapy and I am all anxious to get started and opening a new can of unknown worms.

Lets show some compassion and kindness. Lets not make others feel uncomfortable expressing their feelings looking for advice and comfort from those who went through the same thing they are dealing with.

I like PR's tough love approach with a side of common sense.

Good job reading.
Obviously made it through spell check, didn't it? (and past the other sets of eyes who MAY have read it)

I've been doing a lot of venting this afternoon but I am pretty sure it has something to do with the red beans and rice I had for lunch.

Maybe the pile of mud bugs too.

Whiners, complainers, quitters are the reason I'm barely on Facebook.

People who post things like, "I guess no one cares [insert sad puppy pic here] make me want to reply, "Guess not!" And I'm not a mean person.

I agree with several others here. There's a difference between initial frustration and even a perpetual feeling of "this sucks," and just wallowing.

Personally I'm not good with, "Poor you," or "Hang in there." I like to have a plan. So, for me, bring on the 2x4s.

I keep them, but "Unfollow" them. Then their crap doesn't show up in my newsfeed. But if I ever have a reason to checkup on them, I can go to their page and see what is going on.
