This SN 2216 Aircurve has SW:

Modem. SX558-0312
Humidifier. SX556-0204
Device. SX567-0305

So it has received a modem update in the last month or so. It used to have modem SW. SX558-0308

MY modem is now SX558-0314 I did not record the previous FW for the modem. All the other numbers are the same.

I'll unplug it and plug it back in.....Maybe I'll eventually get the-0314 version!

Your equipment list show a S9 ... the update is for a Airsense 10
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

So as a backup I picked up a 2215 (22=Aussie made, 15=2015) Aircurve10 ASV with:

Modem. SX558-0312
Humidifier. SX556-0204
Device. SX567-0302

So it appears to have received a modem update or two and maybe a humidifier update, but it does not appear to have received a device software update because it still has the -0302 version, and the 2016 has the -0305 version.

I tend to associate higher device software numbers with newer algorithms, but that is just an assumption on my part. I suppose a newer algorithm could be downloaded over the air without changing any software numbers.

Has anyone with a 2015 or 2014 Airsense or Aircurve received an over the air update to their device software #, or is everyone with a 2015/2014stuck with SX567-0302?

Just wondering if Resmed is sharing its newer algorithms with older models, or just sending out necessary 'fix it' updates.

Yep, the post just prior to this post was from me when I was not signed in.
I was going to delete it after I reposted it here, but a "guest" apparently canNOT delete a post.

Does anyone know if Resmed pushes other updates like updates to their algorithm? I understand from reading online and talking to my DME there won't be a new upgrade to their flagships AirSense models any time soon even though the model is more than 6 years old now.

I Googled "Airsense 10 software update" and found this link: https://www.rmdassets.com/airsolutions/ ... %20V15.pdf

I didn't closely read all of the posts in this thread - sorry if someone already posted the link.

Sigh got fooled by the necroed thread... didn't check the actual year when I read the message referring to March and April.

ResMed AirSense/Curve 10s are capable of OTA firmware updates, but it's just not routinely done. The only time I'm aware of an update is 2015 to address a bug with the ClimateLineAir. Which generated this topic.

Since then, I don't think there is a process, Over-The-Air or otherwise to upgrade our Air 10 devices.

Since 2009 the only time I have ever known of ResMed doing any sort of firmware update was the one done in 2015 to address that bug.
They simply don't do it or won't do if or haven't done it.
We all know that new units in terms of born dates may have different versions but no one seems to care if maybe the older versions might benefit from whatever is newer in the latest builds.
We have to remember that we as the end consumer aren't who ResMed wants to keep happy. It isn't us.
Wanna bet who was screaming the loudest about the fault with the ClimateLine Air problem back in 2015 that caused the OTA update that ResMed listened to?

At any rate...ResMed could update the AirSense/AirCurve units if they wanted to but they don't want to.

I don't see ResMed or Respironics ever doing anything like that but maybe a miracle will happen and someone there will actually put the patients potential wants or needs at the front of the line. I won't be holding my breath though.

So to answer the question about ResMed maybe pushing a change in the auto adjusting algorithm....ain't going to happen.
If they ever change that algorithm....it will be with a new model so people have to buy it. Money talks.
That auto algorithm...not something that is ever changed very often. Minor bug fixes are a different thing though....like the ClimateLine bug fix in 2015.

Agreed.
Manufacturers are obligated to supply repair parts for discontinued units for +/-7 years,
but software upgrades are not in the law.
. . . And the "now" to which the OP referred was
SIX YEARS AGO.

That's my thinking too. I was reading elsewhere how some believe Resmed pushes OTA updates and those capable machines always have the latest algorithms.

When I read that, I thought that's wishful thinking. These medical devices aren't like an iPhone where OTA updates are regularly pushed. It's nice to have in theory, but in reality as Pugsy wrote: money talks. It's not in their best interest to do so.

I did learn something new though. Repair parts are required to be provided for 6 years. Too bad masks aren't included. I guess that's why many insurance companies have a one xPAP machine limit every 5 years.
