Need help with screen shots

Post by Sonnyboy » Thu Jan 29, 2015 1:21 pm

My computer skills leave a lot to be desired. I need some help.

I know how to remove the calendar and right panel and take a screenshot, how to upload to imgur, and how to post on this forum.

I do not know what to do to get my graphs to fit on one page so that graphs are not cropped in the screenshot.

Also what to remove so I am posting only the graphs you want to see.

Thank you

These are the graphs I like to see on first glance. Others if needed I just request.

On the left...the AHI bar graphs showing event categories and the statistics.
On the right..
Events
Flow rate
Pressure graph
Leak rate graph

Don't need AHI graph or mask pressure graph or all those other graphs except maybe the
snore or flow limitation graph on the ResMed machines and only if they look very active. These I usually just request if I am curious about them.
You can resize the graphs so that these 4 or 5 graphs will all fit on one screen shot.
Then I just do a screen shot and crop at the same time. I use Windows computer so I use the Snipping Tool so that I can take the image and do the cropping at the same time.
You can turn off the unneeded graphs in Preferences/Graphs by just removing the check mark (or use the legend at the bottom and change graphs from green to red to turn them off).

So then everything is there is one simple easy to see image and if I need anything else I just ask. Here's one where I didn't hide the calendar....and my leak is a bit ugly at the end of the night.
You may need to right click mouse on the image and choose "view image" to see the stuff on the right side as this one is a bit large but not big deal to do that. It depends on your computer's desktop resolution if the right side gets cut off. There's a way for me to make it a bit smaller but I forget how at the moment.

Using Imgur and using the "large thumbnail" link
Too small for me to really evaluate though and can't seem to enlarge it. I need to play with it some more.

Very nice reference for using Imgur. I learned something today.

PR...I use my calendar often and that's why I leave it showing most of the time and my screen shots include it.

you want to use the linked bbcode link... that way you get a clickthrough to the full size image.

and, while I can understand why you use the calendar, and leave it on, it obscures detail data from people who're asking for help...which is why I suggest they turn it off

Imgur with clickable image so it can be viewed full size
I clicked on large thumbnail and then copied the "linked bbc code" and pasted it here.
Sometimes the thumbnail is sufficient but my eyes can't see well enough to evaluate the numbers at that size.

PR...I hear you. I thought you were telling me to turn off my calendar.

Hi,
Thank you both for your help.
Let me know if the screenshot needs improvement.

I feel my data has improved since increasing the pressure to 12 and decreasing the EPR level to 1 as suggested about 1.5 weeks ago [even had the 0 AHI on 1/24] and I am feeling better but not great.

I feel like I am not getting enough sleep. I know I have some restless leg syndrome and severe periodic limb movement disorder for which I take Gabapentin [which unfortunately causes drowsiness.]

Last night I felt like I was awake, in and out of sleeping, until about 2.

It seems like most of my events are happening up until about 2.

Should I make setting changes or leave everything the same as now????

pugsy...
when someone posts a thumbnail like that...

right click, view image... then look at the url bar in your browser, and remove the l (lower case l) that's right before the .png so his above link would become:

Code: Select all

[img]http://i.imgur.com/4XRchVO.png?1[/img]
and you can see the big picture

Your AHI is acceptable but your pressure lines seem to vary a lot. For some people those pressure changes could be a potential sleep disturbing factor. So could your PLMD issues...and as you know the meds can cause drowsiness...damned if you do and damned if you don't.

If it were me I would perhaps consider increasing that minimum pressure a little more and see if the pressure line stabilizes and see if that might help the sleep quality. Technically it probably isn't needed in terms of AHI but it might help to have the pressure more stable and since you are only using 7 cm minimum you have room to increase the minimum a little....also would allow an increase in EPR if you feel you need it.
I am thinking more about general comfort than AHI at this point...maybe more comfort and less variations in the pressures would translate into a little better sleep quality.

Click on large thumbnail thing...then copy the last line in the Imgur codes instead of the next to last line.
Then I would have a clickable image so that I could just click to enlarge it if I needed to.

Great
Thank you
I will start by increasing the minimum pressure to 8 and see what happens.

Hi Palerider,

Thank you for your help.

Sonnyboy is not a person, but a dear male cat that passed years ago.
No more unusual then your name
