Memory card for ResMed Aircurve 10
Is this memory card sold on CPAP.com a good one to use in a ResMed Aircurve 10?
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/generi ... -cpap.html
Are there other brands of memory cards on the market that will do the same thing as the one currently being sold on CPAP.com? This is new territory for me so are the memory cards designed for these sleeping machines like a digital camera memory card or are the cards a totally different kind of memory card? Also what's a good brand or brands of a memory card reader?

You can buy SD card on e-bay for as little as $5. They all work the same. What's wrong with the card that came with your unit?

As said above, any SDHC secure digital (SD) card formatted for FAT32 will work. I would try to get 4-8 GB, and it can even come out of an old camera or GPS. Card readers are commonly available at any electronics store, Walmart etc or online. Brand is not so important, just be sure it is compatible with secure digital format cards.
SD cards and readers are widely available in discount stores. Be careful buying online as the shipping costs can end up higher than the cost of the card and reader.

most of the current computer have a sd card slot on them ... are you sure yours does not have one ... if not here is one that will work :

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Re: Memory card for ResMed Aircurve 10
A few weeks ago when my DME's RT came out to the house to pick up the card which came with my machine; when she took it back to her company's office to download the data which she then sent to my sleep doctor's office she called to tell me there was no data on the card. I told her I was using the machine every night and every morning as soon as I woke up I would check to see how long I had slept on the machine. This machine has some cool on screen graphics btw.LSAT wrote:You can buy SD card on e-bay for as little as $5. They all work the same. What's wrong with the card that came with your unit?
She brought another card out to the house; it recorded some data which she said but since I have to sleep on this machine at least 4 hours each night for a minimum of 28 days a month to remain compliant I told the RT if I had to I would buy some of those cards because I want the card in the machine to be able to record my sleep data. I've received some good feedback here from others on which kind of a card I need to buy. So I assume the kind of a card I need to buy is not the kind of a card that goes into a digital camera; it's a different kind of card and how much memory should the card have if any? Thanks for the feedback.

For those of you who record and keep track of your own sleep data; post images here of your data; what's the minimum computer OS that most of you have to be able to do so? My desktop PC is a Dell with a no longer supported OS by MS; it's a WIN XP which is no longer connected to the internet because several computer geeks over at CNET told me to disconnect it from my high speed internet. The computer I'm on right now is a newer Dell laptop which has Windows Vista. Should I consider buying another computer this year once I learn how to track my own sleep data? Will I need to go to WIN 8 or 8.1? I read that MS is about to release a WIN 10. Thanks for the link and also your feedback.grayghost4 wrote:most of the current computer have a sd card slot on them ... are you sure yours does not have one ... if not here is one that will work :

[/SoapBoxOn] I would recommend Win7 Pro. It is now mature enough for businesses to use it and the price has dropped. Stay away from Win8.x, it was really designed for a touch screen and then M$ rethought it and tried to make it work the old way. . . fat chance! As far as WIn10; it should be considered "Vaporware" since it hasn't been released. After it is released I would wait 6 months to a year before moving to it. I let other people discover all the flaws before moving to an OS. So you recommend WIN 7 Pro. I'll have to do some research to see if computer manufacturers are still selling new units with WIN 7 Pro. Now that WIN 8 and 8.1 are out they probably are not and if no computer manufacturers are offering WIN 7 Pro on their computers where would that leave me to go? Ebay? I don't think so. I would like to buy another Dell because I have had very good service with both of my Dells which I purchased from Dell's Small Business Division. They were built better than Dell's Home Office units and whenever I needed to call tech support I spoke to someone here in the USA; not India. Computers with Win7 are still be sold. Costco, and many electronic retailers still sell them as there is still a market for them.

Before buying a new computer just go ahead and try the software on your Vista computer. I am pretty sure that both SleepyHead and ResScan will work with Vista.
That is unless you just want to go buying a new computer anyway then of course you can always buy a new one.....
