Snowstorm preparations

Post by chunkyfrog » Mon Jan 26, 2015 3:00 pm

With a possible 2 feet expected in the Northeast, has anyone made arrangements
to minimize impact to their xpap therapy, should there be a power outage?
Oxygen?

I sleep in the recliner when I can't use my CPAP for some reason.

As a desert dweller where the snow doesn't come to see us, I would imagine you could start out by making a snow fire to keep warm? As for batteries and all that... might be too late for discussion... it takes time to get that setup and working hopefully tested before you need it.

I've got a car battery on a charger that I could wire up, but I don't have the right connector. My first plan is to go to bed without it, but I'm skeptical that I would be able to sleep well. I guess I'm hooked. Been on CPAP since last June.

Having never smoked the weed, I have no idea, but I sure bet it's pretty.

Did you look at the link he posted? I'm still not sure what they made it out of, but it's BIG.

hopefully you're not thinking "well, I need to have cpap to sleep now" like that's different than before.... some people act like they're 'hooked' or 'addicted' to it... but the truth is, they were 'hooked' before they started, otherwise, they wouldn't have needed to get one in the first place

I was thinking maybe colored water in a spray bottle to give tint and help hold shape...

Kind of what I suspect, too. Somebody did an impressive sculpting job there.

Now, all they needed to do was create a "Frosty" (snowman) next to the fire and make him look like he was melting. (while holding the stick with the marshmallow).

You'll have to stay up for as long as it takes to get the power back on.

Maybe the sculptor was not partaking of the maryjane, but it would explain a couple things.

If I understand correctly, they guy who did that is in Canada... so he is already closer to you than I. I heard they did use colored water for color, kind of like a snow cone. Thought it looked pretty cool.

We are having a storm too... a measly 0.02" of rain so far for the day. You guys will have much more fun with the white stuff.

Hope you are all safe, warm and breathing...
