Hearing spring peepers
Hearing spring peepers
I increased my pressure when I went from APAP to BIPAP. At APAP I was at 10; I'm now at 12/8. Often I hear very faint spring peepers. Anyone else hearing them? They are very faint, almost entirely in my imagination. Oh...No....the halo is going to get me for this!

Re: Hearing spring peepers
Yes the DS760 does make some strange sounds when the pressure difference get wider.
I don't think the "halo" will get tilted

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

do you mean when you're breathing on the machine, or when you're outside (presumably in the snow).Pesser wrote:I increased my pressure when I went from APAP to BIPAP. if the machine... then a lot of machines make little whistling sounds, my pet theory is that it's resonances caused by things in the airflow, like the ribs on the hose, and other stuff... (I had a hard elbow that I'd had on the back of a machine for years, and found that it caused a whistle at some air flow rates)
I don't know WHAT I've done to make you so scared of me

OK, I confess, it was my idea to slip the "art" slides in with my uncle's pictures of Japanese scenery.
Thanksgiving was never as funny as that year.

Re: Hearing spring peepers
I hear the peepers during the day just about everywhere. The machine sounds are OK I can live with that. In fact it turns to "white noise" and helps me sleep. But the spring peepers occur without warning and everywhere. Anybody experience this?palerider wrote:do you mean when you're breathing on the machine, or when you're outside (presumably in the snow).Pesser wrote:I increased my pressure when I went from APAP to BIPAP. They sing when the temperature hits the perfect spot where their little hormones heat up.

you are too young to know what we are talking about
and it has nothing to do with "spring" .... goes on all year long.

well, I 'spose I'm just not familiar with the term and didn't know if it was something to do with the cpap, or critters outside... (isn't he up north where it's all still frozen over?)grayghost4 wrote:quote : am I the only one that has no idea what he's on about?

a dump truck without a muffled exhaust brake will do that to you
