I am back to report on the results of raising the lower pressure on my APAP machine. But first I do want to thank Sleeprider on Sun Jan 18, 2015 3:29 pm, Passer on Sun Jan 18, 2015 3:44 pm, Wulfman... on Sun Jan 18, 2015 11:50 pm, Julie on Mon Jan 19, 2015 5:48 am and palerider on Mon Jan 19, 2015 4:41 pm. The advice you have given me has improved the quality of my life. For that, I am very very grateful and I want you to be proud you have helped me.
The sleep doctor changed my CPAP to APAP with a pressure setting of 20 cmH2O / 5 cmH2O on January 7, 2015. On January 20 based on the advice from those above, I asked the pressure to be increased to 20 cmH2O / 7 cmH2O. Not feeling the results I thought I should have on February 3 I again asked for a lower pressure increase. The sleep doctor prescribed 20 cmH2O / 9 cmH2O. I have 12 nights of data. This chart shows the change for the AHI and the Hypopnea from January 7 to February 14.
Last night, February 14, I experienced my lowest AHI reading of 0.10. I show the SleepyHead Charts here:
I feel a world better than I have for a long long time. I owe this improvement to those folks above you volunteered their ideas for a solution to my sleep problem. They know more than the doctors. My advice to anyone new coming onto this forum is to listen & respect these veterans opinions.
Thank you very much and thank those who built and maintain CPAPtalk.com.
