are you a new CPAP user? want to help us design an app?

Post by nwootten123 » Wed Dec 10, 2014 9:01 am

Hi there!

We are currently designing an app that will help people with their CPAP usage. We'd love to talk to you about your experience (and frustrations) and discuss any ideas on how to make therapy better. If you're interested in helping with our project, please let us know! It will be a fun project, and will be cool to help build an app that helps people - plus, we'll share our designs with you after the project.

Thanks!
Nate

What is your app designed to do in terms of specific functions?

I'd like SleepyHead to be ported to iOS. I've not actually looked at the code to see what would be involved, though, so I probably shouldn't be taken too seriously until I know what's involved in accomplishing that

it's planned, it'll be less featured, and it won't be free.

Do you actually use a PAP machine?
What area are you targeting and what specifically do you hope to achieve?
Is this another school project, a commercial project or a philanthropic endeavor?
If you share your goals, aspirations and motivation, you will either get great assistance or directions to the exit.

Wow, excited to see the interest.

This project is for a commercial product. We are in the discovery phase; we are still researching what sort of functionality we'd like to build.

Our main goal is to collect and display data in a helpful way. This is where we think you could come in - we'd like to design this specifically for you and your needs.

Let me know if you're up for a 15 minute phone call. It'd be super helpful

YAY.... hoping Android is also in the plans

I've made several donations to support Mark's efforts, so I have no issue with it moving to a paid for product!

You would need to join the forum so we could send you a private message with a phone number or simply post your number here for any who might care to respond.

What's an "app"?

(Hey, if people can come here and ask what AHI and some of those other acronyms mean, I can ask what an "app" is.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/App

And, how could an "app" help people with their CPAP usage?
