I'm used to the Aussie heated hose. When it is warmed up, I can actually feel that it is heated. Air actually feels warm.
I have the Climateline turned up to 85. The hose never does feel warm and the air does not feel warm but is comfortable. Does this sound right?
The Sleepzone had just one temperature, which was fairly high, so it always felt "warm". A Climateline hose can run at multiple temperatures and unless you really crank it up, it wont feel as warm as the Sleepzone hose.

The default Climateline approach is to manage humidity level rather than hose heating per se, so it will produce good comfort results without rainout, at lower hose heating levels than the somewhat brute force approach of the Sleepzone.
First data shows I have a couple of centrals. That's new.
The S9 has a way of sensing (FOTT) whether your airway is open or closed, so if you are not breatihng and have an open airway, it is able to score a likely central apnea. The S8 didn't have that capability.
Need to down load at least once every 7days to get detailed data. Correct?
On an S9 detailed data is stored internally for 30 days, but high rate data is only held for 7 days. The high rate data is for things like flow rate and tidal volume, so if they aren't that important to you, you can wait up to 30 days to get the other low rate detailed data.

Cheers,

Bill

With the S8, I have a consistent yearly AHI avg. of ~2.8.
I've heard the S9 series scores apneas differently and reports lower AHI numbers. Presumably this is a question of whether you score some apneas that are borderline in terms of being long or deep enough.

It's also possible that the different auto algorithm or other details of the pressure regulation treat your apnea better.

5 nights of data. I should have installed this machine as soon as I got it.
As with everything cpap, it takes time to observe what is happening and tweak accordingly.
I had to raise the humidity level from the S8. I can feel the difference between
80deg and 85deg on the hose. I like the air to "feel" warm.
5 night avg. AHI, .2. I feel like I am sleeping longer and deeper.

I am having slight headache/sore teeth from clinching the night guard so hard.
Not sure what that is about. Has something to do with the change in the machine.

Data shows I can probably kick my pressure up a bit and go for the hallowed 0.0AHI.
No doubt, this is a much better machine than the S8.

I am really liking the new ResScan and SD card interface. Fast.
It is nice running it all on the tablet so I can do my data anywhere in the house.

All in all, pretty nice setup. Moving forward.
As always, thanks! everyone for your thought/suggestions/experience.
Very much appreciated.

Just that easy.

And there it is.
You are now a member of the hallowed 0.0 AHI club. It's a nice pat on the back for sure. Congratulations.
