I'm also pretty sure that sleepyhead actually does export comma separated value files, but when you open them in excel, it just turns 'em into a spreadsheet automatically.

I know mark dislikes microsoft enough that he'd not be wanting to go to the extreme lengths that would be needed to generate excel files
The CSV created by Sleephead imports fine in the 3 versions of Excel I tried it with (2003/2010 and 2013) using default settings. Just need to adjust the cell widths a bit to get some of the data to show properly.

I would not waste anytime trying to generate one of the many versions of binary Excel spreadsheet types. Different versions, types etc.. not worth the effort since all you really need is the data.

CSV should be good enough. Excel will import that fine. The only differences normally are the delimiter and file type (Dos vs Mac). Excel will read both.
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1
