Edit: Wireless XPAP data transfer is here!

Post by Jack_Russel_Fan » Thu Oct 16, 2014 11:49 pm

I am offering a free program for wireless data transfer between your XPAP machine and computer!

This is a testing version.

***** Will only run in Windows, Win 7 and maybe Win 8 and 8.1.
***** Has a windows installer. Just extract the file and run setup
***** Will work with PRS1 760 data for sure. Needs testing on S9.
***** Configures the wireless card and rewrites the configuration file to the card after transferring data from the S9.
***** Can be set to automatically run your sleep data program after data transfer is complete.

You will need a Class 10 Toshiba Flashair SD card - model PFW016U-1BCW or PFW032U-1BCW. The program will, at this time, only work with these cards. These SD cards are available from Amazon.

The Toshiba Flashair wireless was tested and found to have a range of 40+ feet thru 2 walls! Your range may be different.

Trying to share the program by email was difficult, since some email servers (gmail, etc.) will not accept program files!

Go to http://sleepmaster.org and you can download from there.

That sounds like a great idea! Can you please provide a brief overview of how your program works? Why does the SD card need to be class 10?

Thank you.

I tried a class 6 Toshiba during development, but my PRS1 would not work with it!

The class 6 card cannot handle any filenames longer than 8 characters.

So, it will not work for the S9 either.

Those cards are pricey...just now looking around.

will this one work? Haven't been to Amazon to check prices...are they any better than EBay?

This needs more explanation for me to understand how this works. I have Win 7 but no modem on my 560 with A-Flex. Does your program create a virtual modem between Win 7 and the card? Is there an issue with using additional cards to take to my doctors for him to read on different software? My insurance requires yearly reassurance and my Dr. doesn't approve of "tampering". My machine still belongs to Medicare.

Islandwoman,

All you need is a class 10, Toshiba Flashair SD card and the Sleep Master software. You do not need a modem on your xpap, and it does not create a virtual anything. The Flashair provides a web sever access point and all you need is a wireless network capability on your computer.

The sleep data on the SD card not altered during the transfer process.

I'm assuming you will help with the setup if needed?

How much room is taken up by files needed for the Wi-Fi?

Would you know if this card will work? It is a Class 10.

That card doesn't have the necessary WIFI hardware built in, so it wouldn't work.

No the requirement are:
You will need a Class 10 Toshiba Flashair SD card - model PFW016U-1BCW or PFW032U-1BCW

I might give this a shot with my S9... need to get another card though, I gave the other one to my Son-in-Law to put into his camera.

I downloaded it and extracted it with 7 zip and clicked the setup.exe and it said there were files missing and couldn't download.

When you extract it with 7-zip, you get two objects. One is "Sleep Master Net3.application". Click on that one, don't go down into the "Application Files" folder.

Installed for me. Cancelled out when it asked to work with my Toshiba SD card, since I don't have one yet *smile*.
