Oh Sludge, it's such a mess. My head is spinning. Ok. Here goes. I called sleep lab to see what kind of media to bring in to transfer study to. She said she has no way to transfer it. She also said she has worked in this field for 23 years. We continued to talk and she said she is very aware of whats going on. Her and Esky talked about it Tuesday. Esky wants 2nd study (me too) and I told her my insurance denied it. Hopefully, Monday, when I do my download at Dasco, it will show all the centrals and the sleep center can push insurance for 2nd study. I feel like I'm up against a wall or two. He knows it too.

Of course they have a way of transferring or reproducing it (Study Data).EMTunit31 wrote:She said she has no way to transfer it.
I don't know, Sludge might, but it sounds as if the new ruling (Feb 3, 2014) of the Dept of HHS, which mandates labs provide results directly to patients upon request, could apply in this case.

Can you take a copy of that report to another doctor? Id be shocked if CSA wasn't suggested, or if another sleep study wasn't requested to confirm the results.
Is the raw data really necessary? (Is it for insurance purposes?) Honestly, that report alone says it all.
In saying that, a lot of places try CPAP in the first instance for CSA anyway. It's cheaper, and is proven to work in many cases.

Correct answer,
Points above the x axis are during inhale and points below the x axis are during exhale
Re: Translate Please
Of course she can transfer the file. We did it for Amy. It's done under file utilities:
Tell her if she doesn't get that copy to you now you'll call up Ohio DPH and have them ask for it.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but just posting the picture doesn't really explain it very well, perhaps you could expound?sleepstar wrote:Hi Sludge,Sludge wrote:OK, then clarify please.sleepstar wrote:Actually, you're incorrect too.OhHelpMe wrote:

Huh? I thought the question was what the flow signal meant. I think that diagram summarizes it nicely, and has the explanation on it...palerider wrote:so, are you trying to say that you don't undestand the whole concept, or what? because posting a picture like that to sludge without any explaination doesn't lend you credibility.sleepstar wrote:Hi Sludge,Sludge wrote:OK, then clarify please.sleepstar wrote:Actually, you're incorrect too.OhHelpMe wrote:

This forum confuses me sometimes... I try to offer help and then get an abrupt response like that.
Maybe I shouldn't bother

There's more information here, if you're after it

Lots of confusing stuff about time constants and filters though!

I believe this to be inaccurate and misleading:
in that "Return To Baseline" is actually completion of exhalation.
